Tiger Bob Tonga Bob there is a form component in the sim for each player and therefore each team based on that simmers' sim.

But as Clarkey and Mobbs said a run like that is unusual but not impossible. But one thing to note. Each season the simmers purge their sim and have to re-create the league and each team for the new season. Everything starts fresh.

Would a process of purging every form after every round affect the odds in any way, do you think? Has anybody tried this?

I realize that's extra work for the simmers, I'm just throwing it out there for S&G.

I simmed a single game myself (so obviously everyone should respect my ex-spurt-eez) and the team entry stuff was the biggest PITA. However, Mobbs provided a handy-dandy way of mass import via file, so that hassle could be mitigated.

At this point, I'm enjoying Tonga Bob's fist-flailing at the dark, nearly as much as GWS Goose's All-SFA appeals, so I secretly hope nothing changes.

Post season some time ago I simmed the same two teams a number of times and got some different results. That element of 50/50 is still there on any given match.

For example the form of my simmed games will be different to that of serial_thrilla and MWPP. That could partially explain a run of form during a season. Hence you often see a team that gets on a roll late in the season goes all the way. A team that starts well (Wazzas of the past come to mind) start well but lose form. Even individually it can happen. I started this season on fire at CHF and was BSing Carey comparisons. Then I got interchanged one game and it turned against me. The sim can be a fickle mistress!

I knew it.

The Sim just leant to hate me from scratch every season.
 
That is a very random set of results.

Nearly as improbable as playing in the rain at both The Underground Stadium and Abdu Prison, yet we did both in one season.

Random
Rain and Muddy conditions should be turned off.

Why? The Bears have had 8 rainy or muddy games this season and are on top. The weather is part of the fun and charm of the sim.

you look at the top 10 games holders and their win% is between 47-53

bombers have a 48% win rate but 6 premierships

its all massive combinations of luck

gumbies won 70% of their matches in season 36 to win the flag

dragons won 63% last year

oobs were 65 and 68%

OOBs are a great example of getting lucky

Why? The Bears have had 8 rainy or muddy games this season and are on top. The weather is part of the fun and charm of the sim.
It's more about it effecting the awards at the end of the season.

less stats means less chance for those cruelled by a lot more wet or muddy games to be in the mix, even when they had a blinder of a season.

just my opinion of course.

It’s all part of the game, the quirks and luck.
But that’s just my opinion too.

its all luck though

we're all in the same boat there

the reigning mobbs medalist can't seem to get a full game on ball this season and the Demons can't buy a win

last year we had the first and second place in the medal, the minor premiership and then went 1-2 in finals and didn't even make the GF

If we start removing or adding aspects of the sim to facilitate personal awards or premierships or stats we may as well shut the place down.
It’s all just fun and luck.

The old saying winners are grinners and the rest can please themselves is truth.
