No. ESL was a protest against UEFA expanding European football via a CL expansion and ECL introduction.

The Europa League group stage is already rubbish and now they’re adding another rubbish comp. All to the detriment of the local major leagues as teams play more useless games..more tired etc.

Yes it’s great for smaller countries but why not help them by UEFA taking less money & just increasing their funding! Yes I know ‘pigs arse’ will be UEFA reply

i like the conference idea. it'll be fun for fans of those clubs to potentially get european match ups with bigger clubs from other nations they usually wouldnt get. plus extra money in the pocket. more sponsors, extra visibility.
