There's going to be a lot more extra time played.
Unbelievable isn’t it. Another shitty comp introduced and now longer games. This during a pandemic and just a year out from what will be a congested year when the World Cup comes along in Nov ‘22.

It’s a shit rule and always has been a shit rule. Away goals is still used for extra time, how is that more logical than removing it altogether?

As for games being longer. I am sure these professional footballers who train properly to get through a match can handle an extra 30 minutes of football, even if they need to do that 4 times in the knockout rounds.

Hang on a minute. So re-reading this, clubs rejected scrapping away goals rule altogether. The new proposal is to scrap it in games that go to ET only. Ok with that but that gives team playing home second leg an advantage

No, away goals are being removed altogether.

It has a purpose and that's to try and encourage teams to attack away from home. Agree it shouldn't play a part in extra time but otherwise I actually like it.

That’s what they were contemplating a month ago, that’s why surprising they’ve gone whole hog… if that report is accurate

Can look back on the season now as one of progress. Not the standout season we might have hoped for, but I'm never going to unhappy with a league and a league Cup win.

Loads of decisions to make in the off-season. LB, replacement for Aguero, should we put our life savings on more than a million jokes about our spending on defence exceeding some countries after we replace Laporte.

It'll be a big challenge next year. Will Liverpool come back, will Chelsea keep moving forward. Will Ole win no silverware but still beat us home and away.
