You were hated back then because you had so many plastic wanky fans.
Half of them ****ed off to Chelsea and the other half just moan on the internet that we aren't winning everything.

Not every clubs fanbase is working class.

It would be interesting to see a break down of what clubs really still have a majority "working class" fanbase.

I'd consider ours on the whole middle class.
Historically, match going fans were pretty much all working class and football and rugby league were the working class sports. This is still pretty much the case with the Northern clubs and 100% with season ticket holders. The big change is probably with Chelsea who went from very working class to the exact opposite. I don't know the make up of the fanbases south of London.

Our STH would be majority middle class.

I'm extremely posh thank you very much.

Was listening to radio the other day, 6 of Man Uniteds champions winning team have been diagnosed with dementia. Denis Law the latest.

Terry McDermott as well, it just seems.to.be a bigger and bigger problem.

Not sure what the solution is, the balls were a lot heavier then, but is banning heading ever going to be a thing?

Lots of players from that era sadly, Chris Chilton from us died a few months ago, Leeds players had issues too, and plenty of others. As you say, not sure on the solution.

My mum keeps telling me to stop heading the ball during games but can you imagine just leaving a ball and letting it bounce or your opponent get to it? Never gonna happen.

I think here in Oz they have said maximum headers you can do at training in a week is ten? I remember hearing it somewhere.
