I'd be surprised if that was the case. Four of the super league teams would have been pushing for the rule.

It's going to be one hell of national league playoffs.

Bring it on. Portsmouth are serial offenders. They should be relegated two divisions.

They had 7 seasons in the EPL, best finish 8th under Harry Redknapp. They got relegated after being docked 9 points for going into administration. A couple of years later they were relegated from the Championship after being docked 10 points for going into administration again. Then the next season they got another 10 point deduction which put them into League 2.

Everyone moans about it being NSW and VIC clubs but it needs to be sustainable before they think about broadening out too far.
