Bit of a joke Maguire & Nkeitah gets a gig but JWP does not. Saka included is interesting. Arse fans surely not happy about that.
Before appointment as England’s manager: I won’t play favourites, it’ll be fresh and different

As England manager: I love my favourites.

Seen it all before Southgate.
English managers have no killer instinct

When Kalvin Phillips is getting a game despite not even being used by Man City when Rodri is suspended...
clearly his name is on the whiteboard in permanent texta so he has to be picked

Poggles is goneski.

Such a waste of what could have been a great career. He was brilliant in his first Juventus spell. Came to United where he was underwhelming. Had a superb 2018 World Cup tournament where he scored this in the final

It’s not hyperbole that he had the talent to be the best midfielder in the world.

It’s honestly ridiculous. I get they may suit your style or are reliable for you but coaches always say they need to be playing to earn their spot and then they go back on their word.

He did for sure. Great at WC2018.

Looking back Mou was a terrible fit for him. His best days at Utd was with Ole at the wheel wasnt it?

Juve will terminate his contract for sure. Hell cop a 12 months ban if the positive test can be explained by an honest error or he cops 2-4 years if it is deemed his actions were deliberate to gain an advantage.

You’ll be even more surprised that it’s a lot higher than Ederson’s save percentage.
A little bit, although we don't tend to give up too many chances and when we do they're pretty good ones. We went on a good run last year from memory conceding with the first shot on target against us.

Yeah, you don’t (remarkably Ederson has only needed to make 11 saves, 27 for Onana). So it’s not that surprising that Ederson’s save percentage would be in the bottom 4 for the stat. Not a busy goalkeeper at all.

Doco really tries to make Sir Alex into a jealous, obsessive man manager.

'Single minded' is the phrase I would use! For better or worse everything he did was to ensure the success of the team. There was a similar theme in the Michael Jordan doco, it's a hallmark of many of the greatest athletes/sporting teams.

I think SAF comes out of it well, and it's clear that despite the ups and downs in their relationships with him the players all clearly retain an enormous amount of respect for him.

Hoddle on the other hand comes off as an insecure w***er. The contrast between his managerial style and SAF's couldn't have been more stark (and I assume deliberately presented this way). Very quick to throw his players under the bus and to blame individuals for the failures of the team. Not difficult to see how the culture of a team falls apart in that scenario.

100 save percentage
Onana is at 69%

Onana is being unfairly treated here. Giroud at least has a decent defence in front of him.

Agree with this.

Don't think SAF looks bad. The man is ruthless, you don't **** with him. Guy knew how to win, get the best out his players, his squad and his team. Whatever did was almost always a benefit to the team.

Hoddle is an excellent pundit though, but boy oh boy did he throw Beckham under the bus several times.

Hazard is retiring.

Kinda sad considering how good he was at Chelsea. But sadly lacked the motivation to be remembered as one of the best of his generation.
Still one of the best tweets ive ever read.
