A sad indictment on the management of that 1 club that playing in the richest league in the world somehow doesn't prevent them from needing a loan to give a few crumbs to EFL clubs.

I want a piece of this gardening leave myself tbh.
Mate of mine resigned from his job and got put on gardening leave for two months. Got binned off from his new job 1 month in and another 2 months gardening leave.

I was well jealous.

I think there's still generally a cooling off period regardless.

Data has a shelf life so keep someone away from a rival club long enough and what they knew becomes outdated quick enough.

We maybe witnessing the demise of a once great football club, former Spanish League champions Deportivo La Coruna have dropped into the relegation zone of the Spanish third tier.

It's early days, but I'm a little concerned, we have been struggling to score. :(

Since I posted this in mid-October, Deportivo La Coruna has been the form team in Spain's Primera RFEF - Group 1 (third tier of Spanish Football) and now sit in third spot, only 2pts behind leaders Gimnastic.

There are still 14 games remaining, and a lot can happen, but for the first time in a dozen La Coruna are playing their best football in the second half of the season and hopefully that can continue into May.

Currently watching a pretty awful game between Real and Sevilla, and the ref has just gone down.

I can't imagine how undignified it must feel... you're surrounded by 22 blokes playing a physical game, diving in challenges, headbutting each other in the box - and he's popped a calf trotting around at no more than 60% top speed!

Deportivo's last four games have been 4-1, 5-0, 4-1 and 4-0, the clubs richest run of form since the glory days of the late 90's.

The 4-0 come back against AC Milan is permanently etched in my memory after the 4-1 first leg defeat. Up there with Liverpool 4-0 Barca in the 2nd leg for comebacks.

Saudi Pro league going just great

Ronnie responds with inappropriate reaction after being baited about Messi by rival fans.

This sort of stuff can result in prison sentences for the average Saudi citizen.

Interesting to see what happens here. Will CR7 get a free pass because he's the face of the league on 300 million euros a year?

He is kind of emotionally stunted for a billionaire. 😂

Outside of the 2000 Spanish title it is Depor's finest moment.

Love it. Everyone wants to be the little horse.

That is surely the outcome every neutral must be hoping for in May. It is the best outcome, proof that with the right manager and the right recruitment, you can build a team that can beat the financial superpowers of Manchester City, United, Chelsea and Liverpool.
