Before a recent Western United game we amused ourselves by guessing which stereotype sing-a-long songs would be played over the PA.

AFL games have had a crack with Sweet Caroline with limited success.
Loved this at Wisconsin football games at end of third quarter..probably because I’ve always liked the song.

Absolutely…it’s sheer kids rubbish. Surely no grown adult listens to this?

It's a meme song, maybe one of the most famous meme songs, from about 15 years ago. I'm amazed you've never heard of it.

It's played at every Swans game and the entire ground sings along. Not sure I'd call that 'limited'.

Yeah nah.

That wasn't the original video that I said was a highly produced and edited video with artificial crowd noise and dubbed electric violin. Like I said, the Victory marketing team have done a great job to manufacture this as a fan experience.

Just confirming what I said about you.

You're so predictable. You blurt out some nonsense. Then when challenged with evidence or a logical argument you can't back it up and resort to deflection and GIFs.

Deportivo La Coruna have secured Promotion to Spain's Second Division thanks to a Lucas Perez goal against Barcelona B in this morning's top of the table clash. The former Arsenal striker paid half of his own transfer fee to return to his hometown club Deportivo La Coruna in 2023 and helped the Galician side gain promotion with two games to spare in front of a jubilant Riazor stadium.

Hopefully, this is the first step in the former League Champions return to the top of Spanish Football.

There's no chance a single use stadium will be taxpayer funded. Ratcliffe should focus on doing a deal with the council for the area surrounding the new Old Trafford (should it be built).

We previously discussed the City of Manchester stadium with moomba. It was built with UK government money for the Commonwealth Games. Then Manchester City Council paid £22 million for it to be converted into a football stadium with Man City paying £20m to fit it out. In return they handed over Maine Road to the council which is now community housing, and £3m pa rent.

Ratcliffe might be trying to organise a similar mix of funding, with community benefits, for the new Old Trafford stadium. Personally I think it's more like the Tottenham scenario, where they build a stadium primarily for football but with some mixed use facility, using private funding. But I can see Ratcliffe succeeding if he gets the people on his taskforce onboard. Lord Coe, Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham, and Sir Keir Starmer were all his guests at the Arsenal game.
