An England supporter analysing the result online, “Could end up being one of the greatest results in England's history. The FA could genuinely have been stupid enough to give Lee ****ing Carsley four years with this squad had he won these piss easy trial matches.” 😂

I believe Fat Sam is available and has a perfect England record to boot.

From the post match interviews it sounds like Carsley has given up on getting the job and is now trying to salvage a return to his U-21 position.

Any incoming England manager will be aware that there is no obvious replacement for Kane. It might be a factor in whether Howe or Potter take the job.

Carsley did what all the armchair pundits had been screeching for Southgate to do and it didn't work. What will people screech about now?

I counted 5 attacking mids in the starting line up + Rice who is arguably 6 + TAA bombing forward.

It is hard to believe Greece sliced them open all game 🤷‍♂️

They are basically playing ManU’s system :drunk:
There's handbrake off and there's handbrake removed from the car. It is difficult to start all those players, could have maybe taken out Gordon and put Foden on the left with Watkins up top. That would have made a more balanced side imo and kept many of those attacking players in. I think the one thing people are missing is the use of TAA and Lewis. At times it looked like both were playing inverted into the middle and it was easy to get down the wings. I think Pep has it right most times in that style where he has 1 player who can play that and 3 proper defenders. Either Lewis or TAA does that, you put a proper defender on the opposite side.
