Day 3 of the Sam Kerr trial. It's pretty much uncontested that she vomited in a cab, refused to pay the clean up charge, smashed the window of the cab, called the attending copper "stupid and white".

The claims of her being kidnapped are laughable. Who drives to a police station with kidnap victims?

It will be interesting to see if her defense team runs with the social media 'white people can't be victims of racism' line. She has been charged under the Public Order Act 1986: Section 18 – Racially Aggravated Offenses. It is an offense to use abusive or insulting words when the offense is racially motivated. A key element is if the defendant had racial hostility towards the victim at the time of the offense. The law doesn't distinguish between different forms of racism.
Yeah because having someone drive you to an unknown location with the police refusing to take your call wouldn't be terrifying for a woman or women. Until they got to the station how the **** do they know that's where he's taking them?

Don’t need to, that sums up what Kerr said and did

Yeah she was a dick head. She paid the damages, that should have been the end of it.

Coppers everywhere suffer far worse abuse without any action taken.

You get the sense this is only being looked at because of who Kerr is.

CPS aren't prosecuting and rightly so. This is an absolute misuse of the justice system.

Career change. Bigfooty moderator.
Some of them are sensitive AF. The paperbagger board has many reports of being shoot on sight.
It's one mod in particular. Just laugh at some of the shit they get antsy about.

How did the cops know it was her at the other end of the phone?

I don’t think she should go to jail

But I also don’t think you can just brush it off

Of course. Restitution has been paid to settle the civil dispute. I'm not sure what the laws are like in UK but there probably is a provision to issue a fine for an offense of drunken behavior in a public place. That should be as far as it went.

Basically this is only being looked at because a) Sam Kerr being a well known public figure and b) the alleged victim being a police officer and the police asking again for prosecution after the CPS decided there was no case for prosecution.

I seriously doubt if 90% of the UK population would know who she was and wouldn't recognise her if they was show a picture of her

I'm not sure what you mean?

If the police take a call from someone scared that they're being kidnapped why are they hanging up on them?

Absolutely, which is why the cop didn't think to make the incident about racism until he realised who she was and wanted to put her in her place.

I would imagine that Cop's take calls all the time from scared people, and then have to decide which one's to prioritise.

She's now playing the racist victim card.
How ironic from a person who makes a racist comment.
At the very least the video shows her to have been disrespectful to a police officer, not just in her words - interpret them however you want - but also her demeanour. Slouched in a chair, on the phone while talking to a policeman. Show some respect for the position the police hold in society.

This is irrelevant in terms of the law. None of these things are against the law.

I'm not talking about her court case.
I'm talking about her behaviour as a citizen.

At the very minimum she should reflect on her behaviour and lack of respect the police service.

And they hung up on someone concerned they were being kidnapped and couldn't do a cross reference and inform Kerr that the driver had been instructed to drive them to a police station?

The police service who just disrespected her by not taking her complaints seriously?
