Two round to go in Spain's second division and Deportivo La Coruna could guarantee promotion back to the topflight for the first time since 2017-18 if results go their way this weekend. La Coruna plays away to 16th placed Valladolid while Almeria are away to 12th placed Gijon.

Roy Makaay and co. Who can ever forget the CL comeback against Milan after being flogged 4-1 in the first leg.

I found 12 minute colorised highlights of the 1954 World Cup final on YouTube today. What an incredible time capsule that was and what a national side Hungary were. How they didn’t put 8 goals past West Germany we will never know. They should have won that final comfortably. Hit the post and crossbar and the WG goalkeeper played out of his skin.

I think we'll see the 2nd and 3rd tier European trophies dominated by England for a little while.

Germany, Italy, Spain, France all have less competitive teams than England and those that are 'elite' end up in the UCL. With no more dropouts the 5-8 clubs in England are stronger than their counterparts.

Yeah, that’s what I’ve read about that group stage match. But the final itself they could have won that match easily, they were dominant in the highlights I watched. Such a shame about that, what a wonderful side that was.

Absolutely he has. I just think there are 4-5 other players who have had better seasons and helped deliver silverware to their sides.
