And former England coach Capello believes that Mourinho has gradually drained his players since retaking the helm at Stamford Bridge and now they are paying the price.

"Mourinho burns out his players after a year and a half, at most two years," Capello said on Fox Sports.

"I had already heard it when he was in Madrid and now we have confirmation in London.

"It is true that Chelsea are paying for some of their absences - like [Thibaut] Courtois - but there have also been tactical errors from the coach, who this year is not preparing for matches very well."

Sounds like the only way out of this mess is for Mou to change his ways. Considering how stubborn he is that is very unlikely to happen.

I am praying he's still in charge for our November away game at SB.

Happy to be corrected but from what I see he always shifts blame, that can piss people off after a while... especially if they think you are to blame.

solid contenders.
Turns out Natanui has just sent me a text (Article in the worst that IIRC centered around his support for Walters a few years back).

What do opposition supporters think about the possible appointment of Klopp? Obviously all us Liverpool fans are super happy about it but we are all obviously biased.

From an outsiders perspective? Good move?

Great move. I still think Ancelotti would have been the better fit but that's nothing against Klopp.

Patience will be needed with him though. Will take a while to get rid of the Rodgers players/mentality etc.

Good move in the long term (presuming FSG give him time). Few Arsenal fans will be upset considering he was many peoples pick to take over Wenger when he retires.

Bit of a coup for Liverpool imo.

Any new manager is a risk, and only time will tell if his methods will work with a different squad in a different league.

But deffo pretty exciting prospect for Liverpool.

ance is a better manager best in the world but he would rather city united bayern jobs which will be avail soon.

I no it's fraught with danger making this kind of post but thank **** our international team doesn't play like this anymore.

(They're replaying the 2013 qualifier against Jordan).

How Wilshere and Holman made the team is beyond me.

That being said I think Holmans flipping mint strike might be in this game ?

Sooo...

A big night of action happened, and what is biggest and most notable piece of news? North Ireland qualifying for their first major Tournament in 30 years (Healy was robbed!) And Ireland doing it over Germany with Shane Long of all strikers (I like Long, mind you).

To think when I saw jod23 's avatar, I thought he was hoping for the best. I mean, I heard the rumours that it was lined up, but surely not confirmed yet. How wrong I was. Klopp's confirmed at Liverpool, yet the Irelands were the bigger news (that and the new wave of Scottish Independence. Of course they would lose like that. Then again, one of Ireland and Scotland were always going to miss out with Germany and Poland in the group. Looks like we'll have a broken UK and a united Ireland at the Euros. At least the Scots get the country to themselves?)

Fair play to Liverpool, they've done their work to lineup their guy, and do it without much drama. Kudos, that's what you want to see. I think it's a really good move, Klopp's the main to rebuild the bigger clubs, and I think this will be a big plus to his credentials list if he can pull Liverpool to the top again for the first time in a long time.

nothing like international football to ruin everything. hope martino gets sacked and argentina miss the wc.

can't wait for belgium to play an unfit vinny in a game that doesnt matter and he misses the next 3 years.

martino admitted that he had a knock, pelle in the press said he was subbed off due to his discomfort, then of course international football comes along and plays injured footballers. problem is guys like kun don't pull out of these games, when they should. same could happen with vinny and belgium's game with israel.

it's not like argentina are short of strikers. icardi can't even get into the squad and there's a strong argument for him being serie a's best striker right now.

With you on that. Players are so excited about playing for their country, it seems like they forget that they have a responsibility to manage their own physical fitness. Their clubs would have a plan for what level/intensity guys like Aguero & Sturridge should be playing at, how many training sessions per week etc, and it seems like they just throw it out the window the second they're out of sight of their club doctors/physios. Bloody frustrating. Looks likely to be a tear, for your sake hopefully it's not a major one.

Remember this discussion moomba? Assuming that is a tear, the pressure is on Bony & Sterling now to stand up during his absence. It'll be interesting to see how long he's out for because as I said, if it's a bad one then having made the call not to sign another striker in the summer, your title hopes this season could hinge on whether those 2 can pick up the slack.

i think we'll be fine. hopefully he only misses a couple of games, it looked more like discomfort than a full on tear. hopefully the club fires up on this one and asks serious questions of the argentine fa, why they played an injured player. clubs are the ones who pay the most, monetary wise and football wise. we did fine with milner, silva and even pozo playing up top. now there's the selection of bony, kelechi, silva, de bruyne and sterling. we're probably better placed to deal with this even without buying a 3rd choice striker.
