They were competing 5 yrs ago but not sure about dominating

we won 4 years ago:confused: and last season made the semi only to be knocked out by the best team in Madrid.

Plus i think we've made something like at least the semi in 8 of the last 12 years

Liverpool won it in 05, runners up in 07. United won it in 08 and runners up in 09. Plus numerous semi final appearances from Chelsea. In 07/08 3 out of the 4 semi finalists were EPL teams and all 4 teams were in the 1/4 finals. That's as close to domination as any league will get.

Except all the years you mentioned were more than five years ago.

An English club has made the final in seven of the last ten Champions League seasons.

Way too much is made of English clubs failing in Europe at the moment, if anyone doesn't honestly think Chelsea are one of the top clubs in the world at the moment or thinks that French and Italian football are in a better state than English football they've got rocks in their heads.

West Ham have become the first club to announce they will reduce season ticket prices as a result of the Premier League's record television deal.

Sky and BT Sport have paid £5.13bn for live Premier League television rights for three seasons from 2016-17.

West Ham's cheapest adult season ticket that season will cost £289, down from between £620 and £940 for the 2014-15 campaign.

Good on West Ham :)
Hopefully everyone else follows suit :)

I'll wait to see the devil in the detail, but if there are cuts across the board that is outstanding from West Ham.

Our cheapest ST's are £299 but the bulk are a fair bit more expensive than they were 5 years ago.

My seat that cost £450 when I moved there (around Stuart Pearce time), now is part of hospitality at £1600 a year.

Any club that has increased prices over the past few years with the new TV deals is taking the piss.

Are they playing at the Olympic Stadium next season?
Not sure. Its one of the next 2 seasons, unsure on which though. Will check for you. There were cranes at the stadium yesterday.

EDIT: Appears next year is the lost at Upton Park (is it Upton Park or Boleyn Ground?)

It's both. Boleyn Ground is the name given to it because it was part of the grounds of Ann Boleyn's castle, and Upton Park is the name of the actual football stadium. I only know that because my GF is obsessed with Henry VIII and thought I could convince her to become a West Ham fan.

How big is the Olympic stadium they are moving into. What is the capacity? Surely they cant fill it?
West Ham have a surprisingly massive local following. Said in another thread it wouldn't be too far behind Tottenham & Chelsea. I know people will sprout facebook likes & followers etc but East London is predominately West Ham. Problem is they've been poor on the pitch and the demographic of their supporters is pretty working class. Hope for their sake they can now afford the cheaper tickets and make the most of the larger stadium

Think it's around 55k. One of the reasons behind the cheaper tickets (which start in two years time, not this year).
