Just a warning for all those teams going to Europe (That especially includes you Europa folk too): either perform in Europe next season, or or the Old Lady will take away your CL spot!

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...ing-fourth-Champions-League-spot-Serie-A.html

If things go the way they are going, England will only have three spots in the 16/17 season (If all Italian teams win all their remaining games, only 0.1 separates Italy and England.)

Bad enough six doesn't go into four, try six going into three. Those players of yours demand CL, You don't want them to bail on you like a certain Mr Lloris.

Of course, the Liverpools, Tottenhams, (and even the Southamptons and West Hams) better perform at Europa if they want a crack at CL next season, because that's where the points are being lost (or in this case, not as much gained).

Italy have hsd a good year in Europe and England have had a bsd one. But it's the first time in ages Italy have finished a season with more ranking points.

I'd be surprised if England didnt finish next season ahead of Italy and Germany again.

Only 3 spots would be interesting though. Would put the shitters up some clubs that rely on that champions league money.

That new stand isn't coming any further forward, is it?

I think I may have shown you these pictures before, but here's what it will look like when completed:

For those that have been to Anfield, you'll know how small and run down the Main Stand is currently. Ian Ayre spoke about it a while ago, but essentially the redevelopment will double the current capacity of that stand and will make it the largest & steepest at the ground by a considerable distance once completed.

Due to the shallowness of the existing stand and the size of the redevelopment, the nosebleeds will obviously be further back than the seats at the back of the current stand, but with a far steeper viewing angle, and will still leave spectators closer to the pitch than the equivalent seats at for example the Emirates or the Etihad.

With the amount of time and money spent on ensuring optimum 'fan experience' these days I can't see it being something they would have overlooked but I guess we'll see once it's built.

For anyone interested about social media and the premier league, found this graphic which I thought was fairly interesting. Perhaps surprisingly, Man Utd are relatively less active than most of the other 'big' clubs (by having significantly fewer tweets than most of their rivals).

In spite of that, they've had the second biggest growth in twitter followers (after Arsenal).

Hardly surprised to see the Toon languishing towards the bottom of this table - very little multimedia or social communication/interactions with the fans...not to mention the most appealing club to follow on field given the shenanigans under Ashley.

Case in point, in a week (last week) where we had a massive upcoming game against WBA to try and stop the slump towards relegation; and Captain Colo and Carver issued yet another 'rallying' cry to the fans to forget their grievances and support the team, the club had the fewest tweets to try and galvanise support and get the message out.

moomba Have the media over there caught on that Lampards about to play his last EPL game too?
No. Not really been anything about it.

I think thats the way he likes it though.

Arsenal have a couple of different language twitter accounts. Probably all terrible like the English one.

He's always been pretty modest/humble.
He's earned a lot of respect up here for the way he goes about things. I've always liked him but a lot of us didnt to say the least. But thats changed a lot and he'll get a cracking reception in a few weeks time.

I could even see him stay with CFG after he finishes in New York. Ideal candidate in a Vieira type role.

If Chelsea don't nab him first of course.

Apparently he's got a job waiting for him, well according to Mou anyway.

He has the best assist to minute ratio and has Van Gaal as his manager. Very impressive

What? LVG is a very good manager.

It's not surprising that ADM's so high up in the chart IMO, even though he's been absolute gash he's a world class player and can still produce something special even in a slump. If he could rediscover the sort of form he had when he first arrived he'll do well, hopefully he can sort his head out in the off season or he might struggle to play if Depay starts well.

Didn't realise that Latro, I wonder if any other clubs do the same thing? Its a good way to make the club accessible to a global fanbase. Think you guys might have the biggest twitter following too of all the PL clubs so that would make sense.

A lot of rumours flying around that season 2015/16 will be the last at the Bridge as we know it. And it won't be a face lift, it will be completely torn down and rebuilt as a 60,000 seat Super Stadium. Apparently it may be announced as soon as the season closes, will be sad to see the Bridge demolished but we need a bigger stadium to keep up with the big boys(as well as giving more fans the chance to see us play). We will end up having to play 2 seasons at a neutral stadium, Twickenham rumoured(would love to see us at Wembley....it's almost like a second home anyway:D).

That would be a pretty huge undertaking. 2 years might not be enough.

Does Stamford Bridge have the room to expand outwards?

They'll be decking over the train line apparently. Herzog & de Meuron who designed Munich’s Allianz Arena and Beijing’s Bird’s Nest Olympic stadium are believed to have done the designs.

Twickenham would be a fantastic stadium to use in the mean time. Might be some issues with the usual tenants tearing up the pitch though, you'd also have a fight on your hands kicking them out for the Autumn internationals and the 6 Nations. If you're looking at a stadium that size (80,000) to use in the interim, why wouldn't you just use Wembley? It's sitting there empty for most of the year and the only time England would be using it will be on international breaks anyway.

Have any of the designs hit the public yet?
