I was on my way home tonight when I saw a little girl dressed up as snow white playing on her front lawn...kids are innocent and imaginative and see things in such a different way to adults and adolescents.
I loved my childhood and sometimes wish I could go back there. Everything back then seems so simple and fun and there was nothing to worry about.

What do you think is the best time of your life?

(Don't get me wrong...there are definite benfits of being older now....I am 24 by the way)

If I start wishing or dreaming about where I used to be or where I will be then I will get depressed. I have been depressed so with due respect to your question, I choose to stay right where I am.

I hope that makes sense.

I did like being five though.

I would say about 12, that's when we built cubby houses in the bush & went snake hunting, only regret was that we killed the snakes & nailed them up on the fence, until I came across a baby one & decided to keep it as a pet, never killed another snake after that.

I'd like to think the best is to come.

However I thought a particularly enjoyable period was 25 - 30.

Had a good income, good job but not the responsiblities of big mortgage, young family etc - not saying having a family (which I don't yet - first one arrives in April) isn't great, but it was a pretty carefree, indulgent and fun period.

That's excellent Bee, and REALLY refreshing, seems not many people are that happy at the moment.

I'm very happy at the moment too, but it'll still be a few months before I can say my life is perfect. :D So I guess the best is yet to come :)

My first impression would be to say teenager - 17 or so. All you have to do is go to school. Hang out with your friends, sneak a few beers, play with your girlfriend. Miraculously, someone else pays all the bills.

Really though, adulthood is best. All you have to do is go to work, hang out with your friends. There is no sneaking beers - they're in your fridge already. Play with your girlfriend. My place is my place, and I make all the rules. Miraculously, I don't mind paying all the bills. I have fun every damn day.

Peace,

Same here. No regrets about the past, but everything that I have worked for during that time-- the toiling and sacrifices alike-- sure is paying dividends now, and that makes me very happy.

Cheers,
William

Well, I look back on the Year 2000, when I was 14 and I loved that year, but I guess these years are great, and they're only gonna get better next year when I leave home and go to Melbourne! :) :D

When I was 12 in year 7 was my best year. I just had so much fun at school and family life was the best.

I remember year 3 as being pretty kick arse too.

Right now... I'm 19 becoming more confident with the ladies, feeling physically great.
At uni 2.5 days a week, going out 3 nights a week, I have no responsibilities and I have at least 3 years of this ahead of me.
I cant see life getting any better....

BTW All school years after about year 4 totally and utterly sucked, worst time of my life. Never have I felt so trapped, all those still in school your life begins when school ends.
