Interviewer: "Well mate you had a great game today"

Player: "Yeah mate just trying to the do the team thing. We knew they'd come out hard but you know it was a real team effort. All credit to the boys. Everyone chipped in and it was just good to get over the line and get the four points"

Interviewer: "Young-Player A had a great game in his debut today"

Player: "Yeah mate he's a great young kid full of talent and he's been training the house down, so he deserves his spot and he proved that today with a great performance. One to watch in the future for sure"

Interviewer: "Looking good for a top four spot do you think you think you could go all the way"

Player: "Well we're not even thinking about that at the moment mate. Just taking it one week at a time. As they say a weeks a long time in footy"

Interviewer: "Thanks mate all the best for the rest of season"

Good effort but you forgot the most obvious and common one - yeah, nah!

it could be worse bigburger.

you could be a rugby league follower and have to listen to their moron players being interviewed by their moron ex players.

There is that. Although we do have Big Q in our team. Hahaha nah I love big Q.

You didn't mention how good it was "for the boys to bounce back" and despite the fact that "they come (sic) good", they're "keeping a lid on it".

...and no "yeah-nah" = fail

can I add-

"and you seem to have found your niche playing down back?"

"oh I'm just happy to be getting a game, play where ever the coach needs me"
