I have literally told a dozen people to message me if they find something that they can pick up. Ive told mates who dont even go for Port, to go in for me.

I knew that there would be a fuss if I tagged someone who worked for the club so I have deleted the post.

Why do people do anything? I dont have an answer for you - its facebook, people tag friends. Ive deleted that and other posts where ive tagged friends. One is even a Crows supporter (shock horror).

Yes I know it looked dodgy, and thats so not what I needed after last time. I guess time will tell. There'll be plenty of pickings on ebay and trade pages I imagine.

I'll do what I can - I dont think its selfish. You should line up at 5am like some of those people.

Most of those people are getting something themselves. All they said is if they only manage to find one thing, then perhaps they can pick up something for me, since its 2 per person. so suddenly that dozen people starts to look like 3 or 4 and they wont be the ones lining up all night. So then I really would end up with not much, if anything.

How about he just take half a step back and go for some gear of players he doesn't have and who might be slightly lesser lights. I mean, how many Charlie Dixon player issued jumpers does one person need?

I think it's a great idea if you send one friend down to grab two items. It's when its more than one when you're being selfish, not respecting the process the club has put in place which was put there so other supporters would get a fair crack at stuff.

This I agree with.

So the issue is not that he's getting someone to get him stuff, it's that he's 'carpet bombing' to ensure he gets the best stuff.

However I don't think there's any issue with sending someone in on your behalf. I don't live in Adelaide either so I'm trying to bribe a cousin to go as we speak!

I have one Dixon. I dont plan on getting any more Dixons. I wear the long sleeve throughout winter so its practical too.
I am taking a step back and taking my own measures that I do perhaps maybe get something from the sale. And Im doing so without calling ahead or getting stuff before anyone else.
If you think I have enough, head on down at 3am and talk to the blokes at the front who have double or triple what I have.
As for lesser players - my favourite number is 15 and I would like an Amon preseason.

this is how i see it

I tell a bunch of people to keep an eye out for me

The first 8-10 are port collectors, who would get their own desires before my own. My chances are slim to none of getting anything since its only 2 per person

The next 3-4 are people who would go in for me pretty much exclusively, and then it would be a matter of who gets in early enough to get anything decent

I am sure Chokito isn't the only person trying to take advantage of connections to get the best stuff. His mistake is all the self-promotion that puts him in the spotlight. I personally don't give a shit how many PI guernseys he's got. But it would help everyone if he didn't come here bragging about it and calling people salty when they complain about his behaviour. Be smarter.

i dont see a problem with what hes doing.
i only find a problem if people are using connections to put aside things before the doors even open or any sort of preferential treat meant that way.
If its just getting friends to go for him its still a free for all and good luck to them
But if im lining up at 8 and people have already had stuff put aside thats when id be angry
