I don't mind it really. There's no harm in bringing these guernseys back as a retro thing once a year for a bit of fun (and a cash grab for the club of course). Let's face it, the whole Power branding is a disaster so if we're not going to switch to Pirates we might as well lean into all the weird and bizarre Power stuff once in a while.

This is a one-off throwback guernsey that we are wearing against St.Kilda in Rd. 4.
Judging by the reactions on social media, a large majority of people are happy to see us bring it back for this one-off game.

No, we are not trying to wipe away our history and spit on the grave of Fos Williams.
No, the sky is not falling

It makes money for the club.
Like it or not, it is a part of our history.

It’s the standard for me it looks to have been done to. It looks like a cheap knockoff and it’s the attention to detail that is the 5% we have lacked for the last 13 years. Near enough is good enough at this place…

119 and tarps was part of our history as well what's your point? We just hate it like Tim Ginever hates . It was trash then and is trash now. I get the business purpose of it and that'll fly out the door with young 20 year Olds and gen z's but the vast majority hates it, they could just sell the thing and not have to wear it. Honestly the worst thing about this is that they couldn't even get the colour right.

I think as far as Power era throwbacks go this one is fine. It looks awful but its at least bordering on kitsch and more importantly its linked to the last year we had any sort of success. Particularly if it is for gather round and all the clubs have been told to go with alternate designs for it then I don't see it as an issue.

However every other design they could run after this is both aesthetically awful and linked with our movement to loser club status. So this is where they should leverage our history and start running with some Magpies throwbacks. Get some prison bar variations happening. If anyone complains, kick up a stink, point to how every other club is allowed to run with heritage designs, run with different colours, etc. We're always going to get some sort of primetime game during heritage round, so get the bars out there.

...so you know what instead will happen if we're going to throw it back to this remember how great 2007 and 2008 were power fans?

I’ll be in the minority here but I love that lightning bolt monstrosity. Probably due to nostalgic attatchment as I was in the 10-12 year old age bracket when we were using it. Haven’t bought Port merch in years but will definitely be picking this up.

My only problem is with the actual design. Its just a cluster ****. Always was. Its a styled tank top, not a football guernsey. It looks stupid.

I have zero problem with teal. Teal is our colour and always will be, always should be, so for a one off guernsey it is fine.

Any correlation to the B&W PBs is also a stretch. Thats has nothing to do with it, and personally I dont know what people still want with the PBs, it will never be our home guernsey, we get to wear it once a year now, time to move on, its a great result.

Then pick one and embrace it.. If we're going to soak ourselves in teal again then get the colour right. This is the same "teal" as McRae was pictured in during a Collingwood training session not our original teal.

We actually don't get to wear the PBs once a year ongoing we have to ask the AFL every year. As far as I know there's nothing contracted re ongoing use. They're still required to ask every year which needs to be cleared by Collingwood and that bitch Dillon and only for home showdowns became we can't upset Adelaide fans.
