Ditto with every one else happy to wait.Ports cap update!
So it looks like my enquiries have finally gone full circle and ended up back at the store itself. I had a chat with Ben (the manager) today who was very generous with his time and gave me a lot of info, I was pretty impressed actually.
Anyway here's the skinny.
As far as the store itself making Ports merchandise goes, probably not in the immediate future or as a cap, the PA monogram obviously lives in this space right now. However, he did mention quite a few times how much he liked the look of the wordmark on a T-shirt as modelled by our super sexy captain (see earlier ITT) and the historical angle of it too, so he would keep the idea 'on file' so to speak.
With regards to us making Ports caps DIY he confirmed that the Club would have absolutely no issue with it as long as we were only manufacturing them for personal use i.e. not making a profit. He was unsure if the wordmark was still/ever licensed by the Club, but even if it was it would be treated as if you put the Power logo on a birthday cake that you made for your 7 year old. No profit = no issues.
So there we have it. If people are still keen for Ports cap goodness we're cool to proceed.
Now as far as production goes it seems like it takes about 2-3 months to make it all happen, which is a bit awkward for me personally since I'll be going overseas for the China game and a few other places afterwards and won't be back until mid-June. I'd probably have to wait until I get back to start organising everything to make sure that I'm available to be in contact with the supplier (I generally don't take a phone or use computers when I'm O/S) and take delivery as well.
So if people are happy to wait (more!) I'm happy to start organising it all when I get back. But if people wants Ports caps and wants them yesterday then I'll have to handball it.
P.S. Women's magenta PA cap was a massive hit and more are coming in, as are the PA 39THIRTYs and 9FIFTYs, but the 59FIFTYs are deader than a dodo at the disco.

Also, I am interstate. Is this a problem? I assume there will be others who will need theirs posted to them as well?
Ah details... Whatever. I'm rolling with it because I'm excited!

I'm definitely in 4 ports hat!Ports cap update!

So I was looking at the new era style guide
The nine40 strapback looks designed for my skull shape
Pappagallo, do you know if a mix of styles is possible?
I've also taken a list of "yes" names so far and dropped into a spreadsheet, perhaps a separate thread is required? If so I can forward onto you
Definitely in for the Ports cap. Surely we could all find a way (not for profit of course) to pool together and thank Pap for this most historic opportunity to rep what will go down as the most sought after piece of Port headware

We can and will surely sort out a "donation" of sorts....

As tempting as Zakk's offer of sex is it's not necessary.
But I'll be happy to exchange a Paul Newman nose tap with a fellow Ports cap wearer any day of the week.
Please add my name to that list PappagalloIt doesn't look like you can mix styles, only sizes.
If we're happy with a classic black hat with white logos we can probably get away with a stock order (as opposed to a custom order - where you can modify colours down to the stitching). The advantage of going stock is that it's a bit cheaper and the minimum order is only 12 (instead of 18 for custom).
So as far as getting a 9FORTY is concerned, you would need to find 11 mates who want the same thing. I've noticed quite a few peeps asking about the 39THIRTY so we might make minimum numbers on that style, which is pretty close to the 9FORTY anyway.
Pending numbers I don't see any issue with making two orders, one for 39s and one for 59s.
Also I've already started a list, but thanks anyway! Wrt a separate thread there'll probably be one on the horizon with poll, so we can use that for order and size confirmations.
