And syncing itself better with the fans via social media. If people aren't adequately informed about what's available and when why even look in the first place. Remember how the first ever batch of PA New Era caps flew off the shelves? The megastore, via its Facebook page, was constantly advertising those things before they were even made. By the time they hit the shelves the demand was at fever pitch.

I think there will always be a bricks and mortar club store. There's a definite demand for it, it just needs to be done right.

I go to the club regularly for a feed and there is always people looking around the store at any time of the day. It's something I feel will always be at the club, we just need it to pick up again

The thing is, for those of us that can physically make it to the Port store, we would want to go there and be there in the flesh! We live it and breathe it! Moving away from a bricks n mortar store is just going to disappoint people further.

People would be disappointed if they order their regular large size polo online and the ISC size is too small when it arrives.A sports store in Alice Springs has banned people from trying on clothes and shoes because they then go home and buy it online to save $10.00.Another reason to visit the club is to actually have an efficient fully stocked store

Lol! That could also be a reason or the bloke trying them on was dirty ,drunk and smelly and you can't re sell them after they are soiled.But that is the excuse he gives.He even stated how one bloke asked his wife to write down the code from the shoebox so he could order them online.

Then I would not buy from their store. I would never buy something expensive to wear without trying it on. I am not actually "portly" but have damn skinny legs Would never buy clothes online either.

I like polos to have longish sleeves too, and still wear my old one from the 90's because everytime I go into the store they never have one in mainly black, in my size or slightly larger, with short sleeves of a reasonable length. Price is also an issue with me, and they never have prices on garments.

All last year I asked at the gameday store if they had a hat made of a light "parachute" type fabric. Nope, all thick material that makes my head sweat.

Far from a "megastore".

They are getting good feedback in this thread, from many people. Critical feedback is invaluable for an organisation so I hope they are listening.

Strange really, because they are doing everything right elsewhere in the club, and this would surely help the bottom line.

Maybe I'm just an "oldie" in what I want, but I just cannot afford to buy stuff that I won't wear because it doesn't fit me.

I think they have the delivery online to non metro area fixed, for a $0.00. I purchased, and if it arrives, I shall credit the store where it is due for correction of their mistake, or does it come under membership dept? Either or I spose.

The club store didn't have the teal coaches training top in the shop or online.Nor did the young bloke working there know anything a out it when I called. I reluctantly bought it on Ebay with free postage.How can that be possible?

Would it be fair to assume when it was run by the club, a lot of the people that worked there had an interest in footy and port, and now that it is outsourced, the workforce doesn't give a ****?

Although a bike store in Adelaide will charge $50 to try on a pair of bike shoes because people were coming in on a daily basis to try them on in store find to the correct size and buy it online from overseas hundreds cheaper than what the bike store can buy them from the wholesaler from.
