I reckon there would be too many different licensing agreements to get through. If foxtel bought all the SANFL old footage (like the have for VFL) it would be far easier.
from memory I feel like some video shop mogul in adelaide had the rights for some early games/years?

FFS, how hard is it to put price tags on things in the store....

Obviously you've never worked in retail.

Wait a second, neither have I.

Yeah, how hard is it?

I assume they don't put price tags on there in order to avoid the overheads when things are discounted/price changes and they have to re-do them all.

They could just put a price list somewhere, or even have one big ticket for a whole rack or something covering all of the sizes etc.

Pricing displays are very strictly regulated, and if a price displayed is incorrect then the consumer is entitled to get it for that price whatever it may be. If you have sales all the time, this is a nightmare to maintain, especially since the port store runs on like 1 dude and some work experience kid with poor social skills.

I had to deal with this a few years back at Dick Smith when there was some gargantuan sale every ****ing weekend and we had to go and ticket every item in the damn place. It's a lot of work and sometimes when the sale ends, some tickets get missed and still display the sale price. The customer is all HURRDURR IT SAYS IT'S THIS PRICE, and you have to give it to them.

how long before we see electronic price tags on the shelves/racks do you think?

This was actually being trialled in a concept store at Dick Smith, it will come eventually but it's a huge bit of work and extremely costly to implement. Needs heaps more trials/testing. Some form of pricing automation will definitely come soon though.

Id be happy for one small thing attached to the rack or shelf. At the minute it's pot luck if the item you're looking at will have a price or not

So which one of you was at chuck wagon yesterday with a new era cap, media polo and the famed trackpants? You went full port on a non-game day. Nobody goes full port on a non-gameday.
