Teal is one of our colours, it looks great on this. Would prefer it without the number panel but we're going all in on that it seems.

I got last year's indigenous Guernsey but might have to go the double up I reckon. It looks fantastic.

if that's right, then R10 is Geelong at Kardinia on a Thursday night, May 25, first game after the China game

then R11 is Hawthorn at Adelaide Oval also on a Thursday night, June 1
I have tickets for Before The Bounce on that Thursday v Hawks. Not sure that I would be able to sport a guernsey at that show. Not that you would want to see a man of my age sporting a Guernsey of any kind.

Wear a tie and coat and wear the Guernsey like a waistcoat and you will be right.

Watched the afternoon news to see it in motion. They talked about it and interviewed Krak about it, but didn't actually show it. Only the collar was visible from the interview with Krak.

I assume this bit of the design will be on every team's jumper given Rd 10 = 25th May Thursday night for Gee v Port game in Geelong and 27th Saturday, is the 50th anniversary of the 1967 referendum.

Maybe this part of the design wont be on every jumper. It looks like it was Kraks idea. Would be surprised if the AFL pinch it for all teams.

The front of the guernsey features a boomerang motif, the uppermost featuring the Aboriginal flag, while the lower features ‘1967’ in recognition of the 50-year anniversary of the referendum to recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as Australian citizens.

The nine hands on the body of the guernsey represent Krakouer, Chad Wingard, Karl Amon, Jarman Impey, Paddy Ryder, Jake Neade, Brendon Ah Chee, Sam Powell-Pepper and Aidyn Johnson. The animal tracks represent the cultural totems of the players. Krakouer said he wanted to design the guernsey to recognise the significant referendum anniversary and also tell the story of his fellow Aboriginal players at the club.

I placed the year 1967 on the front of the guernsey, which is the year Australia had a referendum where 90% of the country voted for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to be included in the Australian population,” Krakouer said.

“I placed boomerangs in the guerney, shorts and socks to represent our people hunting, fighting and protecting each other like we do at Port Adelaide.

Showed it clearly on C10 news

I was moved by the consistency and fierceosity of the slate look. The teal river is just gross.

I'll resume my carn the pear t-shirt vigil.

Whilst I do agree the all black and white look is mint and superior.

The dash of colour is not a complete killer.

Confirmed number panel

Why is there no panel in this vid? At 1:01.

I should add, the Krak has done a great job.

You'll look righter in a 59fifty then you ever will in this

Admit it, if it were a trilby you'd be so all over it in your cargo pants with elastic hems

Whilst the revelation of teal on this guerensey is quite disappointing, it's minimal enough to not be a deal breaker for mine. It's an awesome design.

Black and white would have been ****ing amazing though.

Looks much better without the panel, hopefully the graphic on the website is just a misprint / prototype.

It would make sense having minimal white since we're playing Geelong anyway.

Back on topic - where is my ports hat farken

Sorry I've been meaning to provide everyone with an update on this, it kinda got lost amoungst a road trip and a wedding and a hangover and a brief family crisis.

Anyway I went to the Port Store when I was in Adeleladen last week but Bigger Than Ben Hurst wasn't in, so I spoke to the two lovely ladies who were there. They both agreed that it's probably something outside of the Store's domain anyway, more likely to be a marketing dept thing, so they gave me Elly Siklic's email address so that I could investigate it further (apparently she reports to Richardson). I sent her an email explaining the idea and ended it by asking both 1. if they would be interested in making 'Ports merch' and 2. if not, were there any issues with us going DIY.

No response so far. I haven't followed up yet because it's been hectic and I also don't want to be a pest, they're obviously quite busy with China stuff this week, but if I don't hear anything by the end of the week then I will chase it up. If it ends up being a solo mission, which seems likely, I would at least like to get something back in writing giving us the all clear.

It wasn't all for nothing though, I picked up a sweet Magpies-flavoured padded vest while I was in store. Leaves the Power ones for dead IMO.

tl;dr - I tried, got f@#king nowhere, will try again soon. Mint vest but.
