This article couldn’t read more like satire if it tried. Tears.

(Don’t know why it included an audio player, this needs to be read not heard)

Sounds like a bunch of people who are into some sort of weirdo pastime want to attract more weirdos to their dying "sport". Naming shit in more inclusive ways probably won't have any effect on that. I think you have misread it as a woke push from outside to be more inclusive in their language. They'll all be extinct in 20 years and probably most of their bird friends too. Probably not worth getting too excited by it all.

What's wrong with bird watching 😎

You think wrong, again 😎

Gring would enjoy his trips up the bush if he learnt to appreciate the bird life. Rather than digging around the leaf litter thinking he's discovering new species of scorpion
He was born in the leaf litter. Molded by it. Gringwoke strikes again.

There are heaps of cool birds but you don’t need to look for them. Heaps of parrots in the last few years.

Describe them for me I'll tell you what species they are

Some are red some are green, some darker red and green. I think they all came when there were fires in south Gippsland. Plenty of interesting ones though. Eagles, tiny wrens, wattle birds and native crow looking things. Lyrebirds and all kinds of cockatoos.

King parrot, the males are red. They're quite common in suburbs now, I feed one and he brings his kids.

The crow things are probably currawongs or maybe coughs

Love currawong calls.

I don’t know much about birds but read the other day that magpies live for about 25 years, surprised me.
