So I just watched the blu-ray version of return of the Jedi, and was appalled to see that they replaced Sebastian Shaw with Hayden Christensen as the ghost of darth vader.

I know this is old news, but I've only just learned of this. Awful.

This still irritates me. The point about "return of the jedi" wasn't just Luke bringing back the Jedi but that Anakin successfully turns from the dark side back to the good, "returning to the jedi". Putting Christensen at the end just completely invalidates his redemption.

isn't the mine up cobbler creek? the pig track was off Yatla Vale road where all the horse stables are, but why the pigman track? Half man Half pig from a curse from the mad monks me thinks.

i don't know a Cobbler Ck, yeah it could have been Yatala Vale Rd, it was chained off by the time I got my licence. It was a notorious bikie gang haunt. Lot's of myths and legends circled on Pigman Track when I was going to school in the 70's about bikies and their initiations and whore mongering

Mate of mine is a member of the Sporting Shooters’ Association of Australia’s Conservation and Wildlife Management Branch (SA) and while they mostly cull feral goats in national parks he was saying that they regularly get calls to cull deer on private properties in the Adelaide Hills.
About 3 years ago I was walking on cold misty morning a track in the Adelaide Hills with my little terrier. About 8 in the morning, not another soul around. Suddenly 2 deer burst out of the bushes and bounded across the track in front of me. Surprised? You bet. I've seen plenty of roos up there but that was an odd mix of an adrenaline shot while simultaneously mystified about what I'd just seen.

I live in a city of about 150,000 people and deer will march right down the main highways of this town and every town that's not Vancouver in this part of Canada.

If you ever get Canadians asking you if kangaroos jump down the main streets of Australian cities, it's because in Canada wildlife are quite happy wandering through suburbia. Since I've been here I've seen deer, racoons, and coyotes wandering about town. I have not seen any bears yet but they're always in the news as is requests for people to lock up your garbage so bears don't eat it.

And just out of town here some locals have a kangaroo farm. They'd be a sure thing to go feral if they escaped, except that they'd not stand a chance out there with the bears...

I would like to think that a fully grown male red kangaroo would stand a pretty good chance against a bear, Their kick is pretty ferocious.

Bear has brute strength but a lion has the speed and agility.

Lion for mine.
I'm sorry to say that bears and lions have been pitted against one another on many, many occasions, always for human 'sport'. When brown/grizzly bears are involved, they always win hands-down: in fact, in historical pitted fights fought in Canada, lions were reputed to last less than 5 mins against adult bears. Even small bears like sloth bears can hold their own against adult lions, with the lion coming off much worse.

A lion has far too much exposed area for a tooth and claw fight as well as being half the weight. Bears have a nice layer of fat to absorb the bites.

Who do you think would win out of a bear and a lion?
It was answered on QI, assuming the bear is a grizzlie.

Lions vs Bears
It has long been pondered whether a lion or a bear would win in a fight. However, there is an answer because Californians tested it during the gold rush. They used to pit grizzlies against bulls, but the bears always won easily by using their paw as a club. Tired with the lack of suspense, they shipped in African lions to raise the stakes. The lions had a reputation for rushing fiercely into the attack and looking very promising at the outset, but in the event the grizzlies killed them as easily as they did the bulls.

The bear’s edge lies in deploying its enormously strong bone density against the thin skull of the lion (lion strength is more muscular than structural).Lions and tigers bring down their prey by applying a windpipe lock, but they never got the chance to use this technique as the bears would flatten them with a hammer blow first.

From the moron who brought you Han Shot First Second because

Type "Who shot first?" into Google. The Oracle sets it straight once and for all.

lol, as if my suggestion was based on anything. Happy to be proven wrong by evidence though, as has happened in this case.
