Again speaking of Star Wars. I've been ill and have been spending my days watching all of them.

In the series, I reckon Darth Maul was by a long long way, the most skilful, quick and focused jedi/sith in terms of lightsabre combat. He was an incredible waste of a character, his actor/stuntman was amazing to watch and the 2vs1 scenario was a perfect way to display his combat choreography skills.

Were you sick before you started watching the prequel trilogy, or after? Could explain it.

I've actually watched them 4-6, 1-3. I just finished 1 and moving on to 2.

I missed the Anstey Hill discussion, very interesting. I walk those trails every weekend.

It was answered on QI, assuming the bear is a grizzlie.

Lions vs Bears
It has long been pondered whether a lion or a bear would win in a fight. However, there is an answer because Californians tested it during the gold rush. They used to pit grizzlies against bulls, but the bears always won easily by using their paw as a club. Tired with the lack of suspense, they shipped in African lions to raise the stakes. The lions had a reputation for rushing fiercely into the attack and looking very promising at the outset, but in the event the grizzlies killed them as easily as they did the bulls.

The bear’s edge lies in deploying its enormously strong bone density against the thin skull of the lion (lion strength is more muscular than structural).Lions and tigers bring down their prey by applying a windpipe lock, but they never got the chance to use this technique as the bears would flatten them with a hammer blow first.
Lions hunt in packs?...

Maybe not....i cant be assed googling

11 minutes into episode 2 and I've ****ing had it with Anakin. What a creepy little bitch.

"I'd much rather dream about Padme."
"You've grown too....I mean more beautiful."
"DID YOU SEE THAT, SHE DIDN'T EVEN NOTICE ME!"
Questions Obi-Wan's judgement and acts like a complete twat.

Christ, what an awful character.

Lionesses do most of the hunting in packs.
There's usually only one lion who will chip in occasionally.

I'm sorry to say that bears and lions have been pitted against one another on many, many occasions, always for human 'sport'. When brown/grizzly bears are involved, they always win hands-down: in fact, in historical pitted fights fought in Canada, lions were reputed to last less than 5 mins against adult bears. Even small bears like sloth bears can hold their own against adult lions, with the lion coming off much worse.
/quote

A lion has far too much exposed area for a tooth and claw fight as well as being half the weight. Bears have a nice layer of fat to absorb the bites.
Ding ding ding we haaaave a Weiner. Weiners?
Why is Weiner capitilised?
Also there were three recorded fights in the coliseum. Bears would win each time, but later die of an infection from the lions bite.
I feel like there is a sort of poetic beauty between this and Brisbane.

So the Adelaide Hills are teeming (relatively) with wild deer. Who knew?

Been a problem for a long time, drove up past the tunnel a few years back and near back of the golf course and Waterfall Gully there were tonnes of the things on the hillsides.
