Well that's what we do, season after season - we can always watch the mythical film over the pre-season - "Remember the Optomists".

Yeah, to be honest I couldn't give a shit anymore.

Even last year when we were promised beefed up this and improved that I was champing at the bit for tradeweek, the draft and was counting down the preseason. Now? Wake me up for Round 1 and I'll be genuinely surprised if we've got most things right. If we haven't? Who cares. It's been 5 years since we resembled being ahead of the curve anyway.

Premier League, NFL and College Football will do me just fine.

The last 3 or 4 years I've been counting down the days for the AFL season to end so we can run in to NFL and PL.

Another thing I've noticed is I hate talking to people about Football.

Yeah, I preferred last year to this year. I'd rather see a young team that was willing to drop underperformers win 3 games than see an old team where the same underperformers got games ahead of younger and/or better players every week win 5 games.

I've hated both years, but I'm actually looking to this off-season with much more hope than last. I doubted Primus vocally from Round 1 when I saw selections last year and now that he's gone and we're bringing in new people seemingly in every area, plus a BIG list change this season... I dunno, just more excited about next year.
