Jason Lee invented the 360 kickflip
Yeah, the Scientology thing is a blot for sure. Still shoudn't cloud the good shit he's done. Along with The Gonz, Natas, Thiebaud and others was something of a pioneer of modern skateboarding.
i'll never forget meeting Tony Hawk, Mike Mcgill and Steve Cabalero when they came to adelaide in the early 90's, wish i still had the t=shirt they signed :-( . I do have an original Tommy guerrero deck which i rode the other day to my kids amusement
this is the design but i have a yellow deck

Wanna sell this?![]()

no way, the deck is in pretty poor condition, but it reminds me so much about how cool being a kid was, and there's something about going for a skate that is still so cool, it felt wicked going up and down the street until i tried to olly and went arse up. i would be interested to know how much it is worth though, it has rat nuts, slimeball wheels with nsa bearings, reflex trucks. i'll post a pic tomorrow if i remember.
I remember as a kid putting "skateboarding is not a crime" stickers all over the place
Did you carry a sling shot in your back pocket aswell![]()
This is the first skate deck I ever owned. Jeremy Klein World Industries. Wish I still had it.
It sucks that so many rad brands from the late 80's/early 90's have turned into K Mart brands. World Industries, Vision Street Wear etc. etc.
I just found this one on ebay.

Mannum, that shop would have been Super Elliott's. I've bought sling shots and bb guns from there, back in the day.

Even John Cardiel, who was told by doctors he'd never walk again, is back on a skateboard. You can just walk into a shop these days and pick up a pretty good complete set-up for under $150. Even cheaper if you don't mind getting a blank deck, which is all i really need. I reckon watching all these youtube video's of 40-plus year olds like Gonz still going strong makes you feel like you're never too old....even if you do suck.Even John Cardiel, who was told by doctors he'd never walk again, is back on a skateboard.

I'll never have to 're-visit' my youth because I've never left it.
