Like it or not but SA is a two team state. It is the same between the Eagles and Dockers. It's natural to sling mud at your rival in such a situation on a regular basis. Doesn't mean you need to get involved but to have a go at people for enjoying taking the piss out of the rival team in a two team state is laughable - especially in cases where the team royally fd-up like keeping that dhead Trigg.

No teams supporters are any more 'obsessed' than the other and the bullshit I see about there being inferiority/superiority complexes is a joke. So what if Danger is called cat boy, if the Crows are called the Cows or the Corporation or whatever else opposition supporters come up with. That's some serious first world problems if anyone seriously gives any more of a shit than to have a chuckle and move on.

I'm glad you decided to post again :)

Geez, you go offline for a few hours and look at all the fun you miss....

Cliffs? Dobiegate, maysgate, Fantasy football battles... oh and the routine Dingle metal toob..:p

It wasn't metal. It was post rock.

Am I the only one who thinks Dreamteam/Supercoach is a load of sh1t, and a complete waste of time?

I disagree.

I think it's a complete waste of time and a load of shit.

.... I preferred Maynard G. Krebs when he went on a three hour cruise.
I was going to say I remembered it a "... a 3 hour trip ..." which would have been appropriate. But I checked and it was ".... a 3 hour tour ...." :(

I go past this local service station most days where they also do subs. The sign says "Our subs, made especially for you" and it makes me feel guilty because I never stop to pick it up and they must throw it away every day.

Reminds me of a George Carlin joke of walking into a gift shop and asking for your gift. :D

Dang.

It's times like this I wish I had pay TV so I could pay to watch all those shows I watched for free back in the 60's.

Don't feel bad. They are probably very noisy and spend most of their time unserviceable.

Probably more likely to be on GO, or during a rain delay in the cricket.
I get the impression that the newer digital FTA channels have taken over from some of the pay TV channels when it comes to screening a lot of these old series. Do they still show them on pay TV or have they been forced to find other shows to pad out their offerings?

A little from Column A and a little from Column B. These shows cost 4/- 6d a series to be shown, and anything from "Lovejoy" to "I Love Lucy" is out there. I've no idea if companies even run ratings on them.

Still get good laugh from Get Smart and will watch F-troop whenever that gets re-released.

Digital tv has gotten a lot worse in recent times, with the shows designed solely for ads, and indeed the new channels in recent times have just been selling products 24 hours a day- from memory channels 94 and 95 were both brought in to do that.

When it first came in I really enjoyed GO,now it's just rubbish. Early days it had Wonder Woman,Married With Children,I don't even check these days what it's going to be showing.

Eleven is the channel I probably watch most, but has massive amounts of series repeats (eg Happy Days).

I too watch Get Smart when I notice it on.

I've also enjoyed some old Fast Forward episodes on ONE over the last few years, and even noticed some Sketch Show episodes on as well.

But in the main, in the early days when there were about 3 or 4 new channels, it was 10 times better than the 10 or 15 channels, or whatever it is now.
