Most scientists are unconvinced about everything, that's why they're scientists. That changes nothing about what the published work says.

Bloody oath!

Climate change hasn't been real since 7th September 2013 anyway :p

You'll probably find the extremely hot weather is directly related to the large amounts of sunspots currently on the sun. There is one the size of jupiter right now. Historically, the number of sunspots on the sun directly correlates to global temperatures. Once those spots cool, so will the average temperature.

This kind of stuff is mind boggling.

There was an animation of a solar flare doing the rounds last year that was pretty cool to watch but blew your mind when they showed the size of Earth in comparison. Was but a speck.

I agree.

I remember following Comet ison very closely on the STEREO satellites, a huge coronal mass ejection blew off in the direction of Ison, hey say when it grazed the comet, it contributed to it's downfall. Very unlucky for a CME to happen in the direction of the comet during approach.

I reckon this pic is also good, it is feature on Wikipedia pic of the day. Apparently some Soviet scientists...probably full of vodka at the time...thought it would be a good idea to throw a match at some gas

Yeah they call it the gateway to hell. Has been burning for half a century now I believe. Gas seeps up through the soil and fuels the fire.

I wish I could chuck that 'natural gas' ****** from the ads straight into it.

Fallout 1 and 2 were both turn based, and infinitely better games both for combat engine and story than Fallout 3, which was dumbed down for console kiddies. There was nothing better than getting a big **** off hammer and slamming people in the head with it and watching them skid across the map, then getting out your gun and blowing their head off.

In Fallout 2, for example, you could go to a farm where a man has started a cult, but his daughter is a bit of a ****, so you can seduce her...and at the end of the game, it says that her father believes it was an immaculate conception :D

Games like Phantasy Star and Final Fantasy et al are good, but in reality the JRPG is more about the story than any sort of skill. Because as long as you spnet the time grinding and stocked up on potions or whatever, you KNEW that you could beat it, because the story wouldn't progress otherwise.

If you want a challenge, play a the old school games like the Ultima series or even Baldur's Gate/Planescape Torment. Games where it was a true open world, and you could literally go anywhere. Back when dying multiple times wasn't seen as the game being too hard, but a challenge.
I could never get into the old Fallouts and Baldurs Gates for some reason (terrible compatibility with high resolution screens?), however I am looking forward to the new old school games on the way including Torment: ToN and Pillars of Eternity.

Did you ever get around to playing New Vegas, or did F3 just turn you off the first person Fallouts?

And then there's Burning Mountain in NSW, been burning for at least 6000 years

Drove past it a few times when I lived in NSW and heading to and from Sydney and it is more just smouldering than burning. A bit disappointing to look at really.
