Fallout 1 and 2 were both turn based, and infinitely better games both for combat engine and story than Fallout 3, which was dumbed down for console kiddies. There was nothing better than getting a big **** off hammer and slamming people in the head with it and watching them skid across the map, then getting out your gun and blowing their head off.

In Fallout 2, for example, you could go to a farm where a man has started a cult, but his daughter is a bit of a ****, so you can seduce her...and at the end of the game, it says that her father believes it was an immaculate conception

Games like Phantasy Star and Final Fantasy et al are good, but in reality the JRPG is more about the story than any sort of skill. Because as long as you spnet the time grinding and stocked up on potions or whatever, you KNEW that you could beat it, because the story wouldn't progress otherwise.

If you want a challenge, play a the old school games like the Ultima series or even Baldur's Gate/Planescape Torment. Games where it was a true open world, and you could literally go anywhere. Back when dying multiple times wasn't seen as the game being too hard, but a challenge.

I haven't played Fallout 1 or 2 to be honest. I'll have to take a look since my introduction to the franchise was Fallout 3. Yes games like Phantasy Star and Final Fantasy are good unless you include the latest Final Fantasy games which has left a bad taste in my mouth. But i agree with you on JRPG's being story driven, The first game i have enjoyed in years was Ni No Kuni.

Actually, it's just dawned on me that it was the last supposed 'tall super draft' when we stole Justin.

Considering we picked the Hoff up for a massive bargain at pick #71 that year on current form he'd compare well with the better KPP's taken earlier in that draft, under Ken he's finally built up a KPP's body.

Most would have Riewoldt, Hawkins & maybe Tippett (on hype more than ability) ahead of him but I think due to the different role he plays he's turned himself into a different type of elite-ish KPP.

Decent draft for talls, then you've got James Sellar... lol. 'Harry Hoff' is a pretty awesome name btw.

Smith can get F'ed. The more his arrogant mouth shoots off, the more i like to beat the S.Africans.......even more so than the Poms.

Which is ironic as Steyn's parents were using the rhythm method to stop having a kid and well you know how these things happen and his mum rolled where she wasn't supposed to and he was born 9 months later which proves he is actually a **** stain.

Just got a text from my sister she dropped through my folks place today and they were looking after manny [my American bulldog] for the day. My sisters 3yo son said "mummy manny has five legs, look he has an extra one in the middle" on being told it was "his willy" the response "no its too big mummy, silly, it's a leg".

When I took my dog to get de-sexed the vet put her hand down to check if his balls had dropped (he was just a wee puppy), she said "he's only got small ones" so i replied "He's about to lose them, no need to make fun of them!"

Hey guys i have got a pretty cool story that I would like to share with you all. It starts in arndale shopping centre late 2008, me and a few friends were walking past Vodafone when one of my friends grabbed a phone out off the recycle bins, we couldn't turn the phone on but we took the memory card out and put it in one of my friends phone we then discovered it was Brad Symes phone I know wtf. It had his homemade pr0n on it, as a 17 year old I showed everyone I knew which included Ivan maric's gf a 17 year old I went to school with. That night both brad Symes and Ivan maric came to my house to confiscate the pr0n off of me, in his own words because he was fairly famous and didn't want it to be leaked onto the internet. To my greatest dismay my 17 year old self was overawed and gave it to him, he then asked if I was a crows supporter I promptly replied that the crows were the biggest flogs to of ever been created, and that I was a port man he said he would give me all off his old port gear, a year later to the day he dropped it off.
