"I took ecstasy for two years in my early twenties and now feel the need to tell the world about it."

I don't even.
Ecstasy for me in my early twenties was sex, booze and cricket. Did i miss something else??

Geez the 36ers are following in the Crows footsteps. One good season then mediocre for the best part of a decade.

I wish I was never introduced to dumplings and their msg filled goodness.
I was in an Asian grocery on Saturday morning and they had 1 kilo bags of umami flavouring which, according to the text on the bag, is 99% pure MSG.

So then we're in that tricky middle ground, because neither right is 100% enforceable in the public sphere.
The presumption that you are truthful until proven otherwise is not tricky middle ground. Both sides can be presumed to be telling the truth...even though one isn't.

I can't wait for Bills new show "Prison bitches say the darndest things"

Yeah that argument is completely irrelevant

No it isn't, it's how the legal system works. It's how justice has been interpreted in Western societies for nearly a thousand years.

Don't confuse the western legal system with justice.
It's the closest thing we have...far better than the mob induced memes that infest this thread.

Jimmy (Saville) preyed on the more vulnerable. Weird, even unsettling photo.
Yeah but I reckon it was British comedian Phill Jupitus who pointed out that to be fair he gave every possible warning by his appearance. Letting him have access to your own children or children in your care, and not realising what was likely to happen, was like picking up some bizarre bright spider from foliage in the Amazon rainforest and then being surprised as its babies began eating your brain a week later.

When you weigh the number of years each of Cosby's accusers have gone disbelieved at large, I am not sure a couple of months of Bill Cosby being visibly accused measures up as the big injustice here.

Not if he is innocent it doesn't. It devalues the crime for one thing and if it isn't devalued it causes massive unfixable grief to a potentially innocent man.

IF he is innocent (and as yet he is) then this is totally unacceptable.

The presumption of innocence is the strongest protection we have as a society. Eroding that will see far greater injustices.

Oh so you think its insignificant that his accusers have been widely disbelieved for decades, even though you already agreed they have the right to be believed?

It devalues the crime for one thing and if it isn't devalued it causes massive unfixable grief to a potentially innocent man.
And meanwhile innocent women are not suffering massive unfixable grief by society's comprehensive silencing of their victimhood because one man says theyre all liars?

The presumption of innocence is the strongest protection we have as a society. Eroding that will see far greater injustices.
He'll have his day in court. What happens outside of it is exactly as open to discussion as anything else, and the 'injustice' of one man being seen in a negative light if accusations are false is nothing compared to the pain he has inflicted if even one of his accusers is truthful.

Pooraka (n.): A fart that becomes a follow-through.
And I always thought Pooraka was expressing disappointment on how Jason Akermanis was treated by Brisbane.

Personally I found 'Gone Girl' to be better in novel than in film, though both were excellent. I found Amy to be very sympathetic in the novel, but not so much in the film. In the film she was just a crazy bitch so, in that respect, I don't think the film stayed true to its portrayal of the novel.
