5 days late but star wars was pretty ok. Will need to watch it again on about 6 months time then 6 months later again to be sure.

It's a flawed film to be sure, winks and nods to the original trilogy were ok until they turned from winks and nods to just plain ripoffs (another trench run?) and the macguffin was phantom menace level of stupid. Didn't care much for poe.

But there were no trade federations and Rey was great character.

More plusses than minuses I guess.

Anyway I'm currently sporting sneans so what would I know

I think the movie will be even better in retrospect once the other two are released. There's a lot of set-up and unanswered questions, which in isolation make the film a bit unfulfilling, but really we've only seen the first act. I didn't mind the winks and nods but I agree there are limits and they should be very careful with how much of this they use in the subsequent films. Overall though they've made a solid start.
