I'm off to Renmark on Friday for an offroad trip till after Australia day. My mate is a GP up there and we regularly make trips to the bush out that way. We'll probably camp near Renny on Friday night and then head out bush and travel over the border to NSW.

There is apparently a track from Eucla to the old Telegraph Station at Isralite Bay but I wouldn't have clue how it runs. There is also a track from Balladonia to there also but we didn't have near enough time for that kind of exploring

Yeah I travelled from Adelaide to Uluru in a day and a half a few years back, and that was a blast with my mates, despite the completely featureless wasteland from Flinders to Yulara.
