Is it worth upgrading to Windows 10? My home comp keeps reminding me to do it and I think the offer runs out soon. I'm still using 7.

Yes, unless you are using Media Center Edition (not supported in W10 and will be uninstalled on upgrade). The security features and performance (especially on newer systems) make it worthwhile. Offer runs to July 26, so you have time to run the upgrade advisor and check that all of your drivers/programs work first. Would generally recommend a "clean" install if possible (ie a reformat and re install) but the upgrade should work fine, and has the advantage that you wont need to reinstall your apps/programs. Always do a full backup before any upgrade. Make sure you have all Windows update updates before kicking off the Windows 10 upgrade (counter-intuitive I know). PM me if you get into trouble, I may be able to organise support for you.

Upgrade is around 3-4GB, and then there'll be post-upgrade updates so make sure you have enough internets left on your download, and your machine can stay connected for the duration.

The acronym is a getting a bit crazy and a word would be easier to remember, but I guess there's always the danger of shitbags hijacking whatever word is chosen/created and usung it as a slur.
