Witcher 3 easily, incredible game. Though you'll enjoy XCOM if you're a fan of tactics/turn-based gameplay. If you're into shooters and mates to play with I'd recommend Overwatch, too - the only shooter I've enjoyed since the days of Halo 3/CoD4.

I'm keen to get on Overwatch but I reckon I'll wait for the price to drop. It has inspired me to pick up TF2 a bit but the game feels a bit hollow and played out at this point.

I'm a big fan of their older stuff, not so much the last ~10 years so I guess you'd call me a casual fan too. Yeah no Tom, dude replacing him is Matt Skiba from Alkaline Trio (never listened to them personally). Producer on the album is a guy by the name of John Feldmann who's worked with the likes of All Time Low/5 Seconds of Summer/Panic at the Disco so on that choice of producer alone (and from the songs released so far) it's a fair assumption that we're getting a pretty watered-down version of Blink. Not that that's a bad thing.

I'm keen to get on Overwatch but I reckon I'll wait for the price to drop. It has inspired me to pick up TF2 a bit but the game feels a bit hollow and played out at this point.

I pre-ordered the Origins Edition (supposed to be the more expensive edition of the game, comes with five skins and a few other extras) from G2A for $55, G2A is a goldmine for cheap games if you don't already know about it. Agreed on TF2, think its time has passed sadly. Hoping the success of Overwatch is the kick up the ass other developers need (re: CoD/Halo) to finally go back to basics again and stop convoluting their bloody games full of gimmicky killstreaks/loadouts/etc.

I like them, buts it's still weird to hear them in their current format. It's closer to Angels and Airwaves or +44 than pre hiatus Blink.

Can't believe they've gone and done a Warhammer Total War and it's not 40k. I haven't played TW but would love to give it a crack if they made a 40k game. Does absolutely anybody care about Warhammer proper?

So. I now have some annual leave before the commencement of my next contract and i'm weighing up vidya. I've got:

• All the new starcrafts
• The new hearts of iron
• Total War: Warhammer
• Company of Heroes 2
• The Witcher 3 and Blood and Wine (I got 3/4 of the way through the original and stopped playing because I didn't finish it before I went back to work the last time I took leave. This was when it came out, so i'll have to start it again because I don't remember anything)
• Pillars Of Eternity
• Maybe XCOM/XCOM2 as i've never played them

What should I play? I'm leaning towards burning through COH2 and the Starcrafts or restarting the witcher.

id go starcraft, then witcher 3

but if you're me you'll just get stuck on starcraft and not get to the witcher. at least 80% of my gaming over the last 2 years has been diablo 3. which is why i've been kinda reluctant to get the 2 starcraft expansions, but maybe now is the time.

I got him to line up so he could knock back the footy and ask if they had any Maggies posters.

should let kt know about this, bullshit our heartland is being corrupted by eagle and in a round about way crow campaigners...

Ha, I know where you're talking about. I was there too. He may as well had said they were from the moon for the relevance of wwt to the kids.

At that clubs registration night last year wwt had a table out promoting the "change" in zones. The amount of derision this poor campaigner got nearly had me feeling sorry for him, then I remembered…well, you know.
Every interaction I've had with that "club" has been campaignerish.
Tigers, Eagles…let the dominos fall baby.
