Wrong episode. The card was referring to the 'The Boy In The Bubble' episode of Seinfeld, and the Moop card George claims is in the sick boy's Trivial Pursuit game.

I've just been watching my recording of Hoges and despite all the denigration it's very well done. The problem is it makes no sense if you aren't 50+. All the rigger to talent show contestant to national celebrity stuff makes no sense when you can't convey how fresh and good he was, or what community attitudes were like then.

I stumbled across 40k thread about a year or so ago and it certainly gave me a respect for Portia and an appreciation for (for want of a better term) people from diverse backgrounds.

However w/r/t specific information about a specific person shouldn't be a reason to say or act differently just because they are present, rather the change of thought process (not easy for some) needs to be a complete change.

Well at the very least I think it has to influence the amount of weight you place on her opinion in the transgender domain vs. any other random internet schmuck who has no relevant knowledge or experience.

i don't think anyone, Portia especially, has asked anyone to tiptoe around anything and in fact I think she would lose respect for you if you did. However if you are misinformed prepare yourself for an lesson in whatever subject it is you challenge her on.
