Rioli Fletch Mcveigh
Welsh Lucas Mcphee
Soloman Rama Alvey
Hird Richards* Haynes
Cupido Lloyd Winderlich
Hille J Johnson M Johnson

Pev, Murphy, Allan, Bolton

* Provided richards builds up quite a bit...he could become a great CHF imo

that looks pretty good to me and rioli will bcome like our wirrapunda cept better

i dont like Rioli in the back pocket mate... he is a flanker through and through either Half forward or Half Back but u have to let him in the mid feild to do the ball on a string thing...

Most realistic side i could come up with. Hardest position to find was the foward pocket (winderlich), we only have 1 genuine small foward (cupido).

Wellman Fletch Mcveigh
Welsh Lucas Rioli
Soloman Rama Alvey
Hird Johns Murphy
Cupido Lloyd Winderlich
Hille J Johnson M Johnson

Pev, McPhee, Allan, Bolton

EMG: Haynes, Bullen, Laycock, Watson, Richards, Walsh, Hunt, No 6 + 13 draft picks

This proves that our list is deeper than last year with Bullen/Haynes slipping back a bit.

I don't know about that bluemoose.

All Rioli's good football in the past two years has been at half-back or midfield. Has publicly said that he doesn't enjoy the forward line anymore and you can see it when he plays. Can still drift down and put one through though.

Richards is really a tall third forward/flanker, he's not a goal sneak.

Mercs is a little lost and not that great in front of goals nowadays. His best recent efforts were also off half-back.

Haynes yes.

MJ#1, I don't mind your team except for Rioli in the pocket and Richards at CHF. For 1 you can't keep one of our most creative players locked up down there plus he's not really tight enough to play that deep. And Richards would not only have to put on bulk but improve his kicking substantially, and even then I see him not being CHF. I think he's a good player, love how hard he works and can see a role for him but I don't think he's our CHF hope. That's pretty much up to Laycock and Johns. Plus I would have thought Wellmann was in our best team.

i think saying we have 1 small forward is a little Harsh both Rioli Haynes Richards and Mercuri can fufill that job easily
How often do Rioli, Mercuri, Haynes play a small foward role and get 3 goals or more? almost never
And Richards is not small, more like a 3rd tall.

I take it everyone here feels that misiti and mercuri are finished. I realise a quick midfielder on misiti can hurt us, but I just keep thinking his 'in & under' work is worth it. Also i don't think it's a coincidence that his best two years were '93 and 2000. I think he's better than Murphy.

I'm hoping Wellman was an oversite, mark_johnson#1.

Ive been saying that Joel Reynolds is useless with my point now being proven that his own supporters dont even rate him. Not one mention of Joel in this thread not even on an extended list of energencies, so there you all go.

He could do with the majority of the season in the VFL. He needs to learn some discipline and to play for his teammates more. Not to mention bulking up.

He's got a bright future, and I think we'll see him rotated through the senior side next year, but I don't think he'll become a regular until 2005.
