He swapped glove hands IIRC after he sustained said finger injury, which is why he stopped the throw.

Agreed, it's one thing for a player to leave after 5-7 years, before they've given their best to the club, and quite another for a player to have given 10 years and then find a side which will contract them for 2 years instead of 1.
If we had offered 2 years and he had still left, I could understand fans being resentful, but I honestly can't blame Lynch. I hope he does well for Collingwood - just so long as it's at the expense of all of their other players.

That doesn't make much sense, if he didn't want to leave he'd still be at the Eagles this year. He left because he wanted a two year contract rather than one. He wanted to leave for that reason and he did.

You know that's the first time it has occurred to me that we'll actually have to play on him like any other forward. Glass will just say to him "if a tree falls in the forest but nobody is around to hear it, does it make a sound?" and big Q will stand there motionless for the game trying to work that out.
In all seriousness though, I'm pro-Q. Good luck to him (WCE fixtures excluded).
****ing love Lynchy. He stuck with us after our premiership and was one of our most committed and best performing players through the dreaded 08-09 period. He's not the player he used to be, but I hope he carves up for Collingwood, he deserves it.

Yeah, I agree. What more could he have given us? He played any position on the ground that Woosh wanted him to and tried his guts out.
I can just picture Lynchy getting confused and kicking it to his old captain Glass and thinking " why am i up in the backline all the time" ....ah we love you Lynch!

Thanks for the memories to Lynch. However, he doesn't play for us anymore so now he's just another opposition player. In the same boat as Judd as far as I'm concerned.
Judd - required player that bailed for cash at the height of his powers and nominated a club, preventing a bidding war.
Lynch - no certainty to be picked every week, had given the club 10 years, left to boost his retirement with an extra year on the K.
Either you are being very nice to Judd, or you are being too harsh on Lynch.

The last thing Quinten is is a turncoat IMO.
Don't even mentioned that bald judas in the same sentence as Lynch. Judd is selfish hack who left us hanging for money.
Quinten just wants to continue playing footy for as long as he can, seeing as we can't give him that opportunity, he went elsewhere.
