his thread has suggested that Mitch Clark has both wanted to be a ruck and not a forward, and the Opposite. I'd be telling him he'd be playing as a forward with some minor backup rucking every now and then - if he was agreeable then I would be willing to get him for the right price, which would be probably lower than what he is actually is worth. Kepler Bradley might be part of that price.

I'd still be willing to do Zak Clarke for OMeara - it might not make sense right now but going two years down their track it makes a lot of sense when we get Moeller anyway and when we have another gun midfielder there - it just doesn't make sense to stockpile rucks.

Just got home a little while ago an turned on the tv an as im reading this guess what i see.
Zac in ruck an Bradley behind im guessing to either rove or go as 3rd man up.
Ofcourse he ended up just standing in spot.

FFS Harvey it didnt work in preseason it hasnt worked in the season.

Presuming we get Clark, then I would be looking to trade out Johnson and Bradley. (Mind you, even if we didn't get Clark, I'd be looking to get rid of Johnson...)

Clark takes Keps' spot forward. (Plus it appears Keps is crippled, so I fear his days as an AFL footballer could be numbered either way. I have nothing to back this up, mind you, just my opinion.)

I still like keeping Griff as back-up, but if wants to go elsewhere for greater opportunity, then I wouldn't stand in his way. Especially this year when he's under contract, which may force his price up.

Sorry I cant understand this post what has to be given up to get Clark??? You seem to detail all the picks/O'Meara benefits that we will get for Sandi/Clarke/Griffen yet seem to forget what we will have to give up in order to get Clark, almost like Clark is already a Docker. Clark wont come for free, if you trade Sandi/Clarke/Griffen you may get O'meara but we wont get Clark given to us. I like the enthusism but it makes this fantasy seem a bit unrealistic.

Threads pretty clear, sorry you can't understand it. They are the main scenarios posters have put up regarding our ruck situation with the possibility of trading for Clark.

You may understand the "enthusism" but I am not keen on Clark, Harvey is. It is a debate given that the club seems very keen on him, and on that premise it looks at what happens to our existing squad and game day. But if we got Clark for our first rounder, and traded Griffin for Port's second, we would be doing well.

IF we can teach Sandi to kick for goal with confidence.

Given his ongoing foot injury this year, his body seems slow to heal. We might have to use him more sparingly - he could do some real damage up forward.

Do you really think Collingwood would be that interested in a 3rd round pick in a draft that looks very thin around then? I think Davis comes via the PSD, or we swap 3rd rounders just to ensure he would get here if Pies want to be nice.
