Disappointing from the SF colts. Clearly the best team over the H&A season but smashed by Claremont today.

Scores were even in the first but once Whan went off Claremont dominated

I was cheering the Royals home hard but the right call was made.

I agree. It was a good bit after the siren went off and it is reasonable not to expect a goal to be kicked from the centre of Optus oval.

Yeah was pretty obvious why the souths bloke booted the ball away -the siren went indicating they’d just won the flag(as obviously old m8 from east Perth was not kicking a 120m goal.

What was real grubby by the east Perth players tho was their then protests of 50m penalties against souths because they had too many players on the ground - obviously all souths bench co hort had ran into the ground to celebrate, I mean the wafl organisers even started bringing the stage equipment onto the ground ffs.

Well the 50 in the rules is for preventing the play on, which they couldn't have done because the siren had gone. Surely you can't feel that hard done be as a royals supporter.

You’d be surprised, they were booing after the game when the awards were on even Scott Jones was gesticulating for them to shut up. Throughout the game they were whining about the umpiring, I guess a 28 to 13 free kick count in your favour isn’t good enough for them

Had the umpire paid the 50 and the EP player kicked the goal, Souths would have appealed and won the appeal.Same result... Souths win.Though they almost blew it, almost is not losing.

You can’t appeal an umpire’s call.
The panel would never ever go against the umpire in any circumstances

IF, the penatly of 50 metres had been paid, they , the umpires would have been going against the rules, laws of the game. Cheating in other words.Souths wouls have appealed and wan the appeal.If the umpire makes a call that is against the rules and laws then , yes it can be appealed.
And besides, BOTH the AFL and the WAFL umpires have ticked the decision off.
What every one is sour about is beyond me.
They lost, they were not good enough.If they have to cheat to win, then I pity the club.
Cry as many tears as you like, the decision was CORRECT.
