Anyone else looking forward to this game? From all the videos I've seen so far it looks awesome.

It's on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC and is due out November 5th.

Can't wait.:thumbsu:

Contemplating it but will probably wait until next year to buy it. The concept seems pretty cool though, especially with the city changing colour with progression of the game. I'm interested for sure, but it depends how it reviews and stacks up against the rest of the new games coming out over the next 3-6 months.

Looks good, but until this thing garners great reception I highly doubt it will move onto my buy list.

yeh i loved the look of it from vids i've seen

but i think i read on joystiq from a hands on that it handled pretty badly....

can only wait til reviews i guess

No way am I going to hype this game up as it's from the same creators as Prototype.

Which again, just like The Saboteur had a fantastic concept but was let down by average design and repetitive and relatively bland gameplay.

Sure it looks good, but until this thing garners great reception I highly doubt it will move onto my buy list.

Yeah i got pretty excited about that game before it came out as well, only to be really let down. I guess i shouldn't too much from this game.

The game looks awesome from the videos LJS has posted, but I think re-playability might be questionable with this game. I've seen 5-6 videos and they all look very much alike. Could get old pretty quickly.

Nice Hands-On Preview of The Saboteur from IGN here. Gives a great insight into the MANY varied gameplay elements that Pandemic is throwing into this game. Will it be a jack of all trades master of none? Will it be a jack of all trades master of some? Or will it be the jack of all trades?

IGN: THE SABOTEUR HANDS-ON PREVIEW
The Saboteur does everything wrong. It shows a reckless disregard for historical fact, it doesn't think there's anything wrong with bloody shootouts in graveyards or the revered Parisian catacombs, it has an Irish guy as the lynchpin of the French resistance, it's full of seedy titillation, and its lead character ranks amongst entertainment history's least convincing Irish accents: file alongside Officer O'Hara in the '60s Batman TV show. You've probably already seen a video or two and thought "uh-oh." That it's coming out in early December, after the Winter games retail rush, even suggests it's been pushed into a graveyard slot. Oh dear. Except... from the few hours we've spent hands on with Pandemic's open-world World War II shooter, it looks as though there's something rather special hiding underneath this desperate-for-attention surface.

Been released today. IGN AU have the first review, a score of 8.2

Closing Comments

It’s an odd little saucisson, this one. Sean is distinctly unlikeable for the first two or three hours of gameplay, but gradually grows on you. The story is reasonable, although hampered by some laughable dialogue – which we hope was deliberate, and steaming ‘round the city and surrounding countryside giving the Nazis what for is entertaining enough that you almost don’t need a story.

While it’s a little rough around the edges we enjoyed this game more than we thought we would. It’s far from perfect, but it’s great to see Pandemic going out with a bang.

9.0 Presentation
We really liked the stark contrast between occupied and free zones – as unsubtle as it is. Good menus, and the Perks screen comes complete with ‘authentic’ Irish comments from the big man himself.

7.5 Graphics
The graphics are a little jaggy, and there were a few frame-rate issues but, for the most part, this is a perfectly acceptable-looking game. Workmanlike, you might say.

7.0 Sound
Voice acting is pretty sketchy, but grows on you, much like the (deliberately?) bad efforts from the cast of ‘Allo ‘Allo. The music goes a long way to making up for the bad acting though.

8.0 Gameplay
This is one of those games that grows on you as you progress, even if you think it shouldn’t. The simple fact is that blowing stuff up is heaps of fun, and The Saboteur has HEAPS of stuff to blow up.

7.5 Lasting Appeal
This is a single playthrough affair, but there’s a huge amount of content to plough through that isn’t directly linked to the main story.

OVERALL 8.2

Yeah, I'm after a new Action/adventure now i've finisihed assassins II.

Looks promising. Anyone played it yet?
Probably depends on what you're into. But Brutal Legend is a definite recommendation in the Action/Adventure genre.
The 3 IGN reviews are up.
IGN (AUS) - 8.2
IGN - 7.5
IGN (UK) - 6.2
That's a fair discrepancy.
That is quite huge, haven't seen a score difference like that for a long time on IGN. And IGN AU are supposed to be the harshest scorers yet theirs is well and truly the best.

Guess this is lining up to be one of those love it or hate it games much like a Prototype or even Resident Evil 5.

For those who enjoy pixelated (as in "Pixel" not censored) boobies this is a game to get for sure...

NUDE DLC PACK INCOMING
For the release of EA's The Saboteur next week, those who purchase a brand new copy will receive The Mightnight Show DLC code. The additional content unlocks several new items, including a secret room under the Belle de Nuit nightclub where protagonist Sean can hide from pursuing Nazi forces.

But what everyone will be interested in is the ability to unlock nudity in the game. Players will be able to choose how clothed the girls at the Belle should be.

If you pick up a used copy and the code was already used, it will be available on Xbox Live for 400 Microsoft points and $4.99 on PlayStation Network. For PC players, the content is available from the start and no download is needed.

After giving The Saboteur a good play through today I've decided that this is not an impressive game but it is still a hell of a lot of fun. The game seems to be a combination of of Assassin's Creed and GTA but done no where near as well when you compare the climbing, driving and third person action. The stealth is pretty badly done and its hard to stay undercover throughout a mission. Despite all this, The Saboteur is really fun. Its very satisfying mowing down heaps of Nazi's at once and its great just going around the city and blowing up towers, tanks etc. The black and white setting looks good but i would have preferred just normal colours. I'm not too far in so I don't know if it is going to get repetitive or not. I defiantly recommend giving it a chance.

Been playing this since xmas.
Pretty much agree with LJS although would emphasise the fun bit.

It's not as good as GTAIV or Saints Row but is not far behind in my opinion. A lot of the terminology by Sean is bloody hilarious; I imagine the yanks won't get some of it.

There is plenty to do in the game it seems and the Platinum is going to take quite a bit of work blowing up all the infrastructure etc.

It has a few rough edges and I've found the shooting imprecision a little annoying after Uncharted 2 but if you are a sandbox-style 3rd person action/adventure junkie like i am then I'd highly recommend it. Better than Assassins Creed 2 in my view.

I reckon this game is the most underrated ever.

Heaps of fun once you get into it. Has already got 50 hours play time out of me without boredom and still have about 5 or 6 more hours to go to get the platinum.

Don't believe the reviews - it's a good game.

Paying to unlock content on the disc is bullshit. It's the scummiest thing I can think of for a publisher to do.
Yeah and it's beginning to happen far too much nowadays. Either that or content is being deliberately held back JUST to make more money from it.

AC2's developer said the other week that the upcoming DLC was meant to be in the game but they held it out as they felt that they'd already given enough in the actual game.

All these micro-transactions for pissy bits of DLC is bullshit. I don't mind if it's something substantial and GOOD like the Fallout 3 DLC, but stuff like the SFIV or RE5 DLC (the extra mode DLC, not the story DLC that is coming soon) is disgusting.
