Oh god, postmodernism, ugh. I avoided pomo for the whole of Uni because of 3U history.

Btw, Romanticism is awesome - be thankful!! Which Coleridge poems are you doing?

I haven't done The Lime-tree Bower but I've done the other three. Would you like me to have a rummage around to try to find some notes? Coleridge was actually my least favourite out of all the Romantic poets we did, lol. Wordsworth kicks his butt (okay okay, Lyrical Ballads!) And Byron, omg - if you have any spare time (I doubt you do, but anyway) you must read Byron's Don Juan. It is awesome!

No, each school uses their own. Are you going to the Extension 1 Study Day by the English Teachers' Association @ Knox Grammar (yes I lol'd too) ?

Need anything in particular? I've sorted out a few things, let me know what you need and I can help you out. Go to the study day @ Knox too, its run by teachers and goes by the syllabus.
 
Uni starts in 2 days. I'm already stressing! I have decided to change my study habits as my Uni marks weren't as good as I wanted them to be. I blame it on the changes and differences between Uni and High School. I shall stick to my High School study patterns (they worked at least).

I shall be juggling more things this time; work, Uni, b/f and Swans. AHHH!!!

And if Sam ever reads this... if I need help in Accounting (especially the Semster's two course), can I come to you? LOL...that gives me an excuse to go on Bigfooty!
 
Had my 2nd day of uni today at UNSW, was looking at a second hand book sale notice when i saw a guy's head above everyone else's in the crowd, and it was Teddy Richards. A great guy too, saw me looking at him and smiled and i spoke to him for a minute or so. Said i was the first guy to recognise him at uni for a while. Made my day!

Swans120 what UAI did you get to go to UNSW?
 
I got 94.05, but UNSW give you automatic bonus points if u got a certain mark in HSC economics and if u r trying to get in to a commerce course (if that makes sense). My first preference was commerce/arts at Sydney so i could do psychology as part of Arts (UNSW dont offer it in Arts) but i missed the cut off by like .25, which was annoying, but commerce at UNSW is going ok atm. What r u doing or hoping to do?
 
AdvancedEnglish/Commerce which neeeds a UAI of 94.25 for Sydney.

I want to get into Sydney too... But I dont know. my studies right now aren't great.. I Always think i've left it too late.
 
94.05 is great!

My teachers are estimating 97+ for me but I'm convinced it's too high. You know those comments about not reaching your full potential? They exist for kids like me. School and me don't mix as well as we used to.

i got 14/41 for my chemistry test hahahaha maaaaaaaaad. im dropping chemistry after year 10 but still haha.
 
oh ur only in year 10, **** dont even bother thinking about uni yet. leave that til year 12 and just enjoy the years before HSC year.

How are you finding QMA? LOL.. trust me. Once you start on annuities.. everyone will be cursing the subject.

QMA is going ok, im trying to do the excel computing assignment for semester 1 (im assuming u had to do something like it too) atm and im really battling with it. Yeh annuities were a barrel of laughs...though i must say i prefer QMA to accounting, most boring thing i think i have ever done, including HSC english. What subjects are u doing this year?
 
i guess this is where i rant about uni

yeaterday me and my group presenters massively ****ed up our oral presentation

the tutor spent more time shaking his head, then taking notes down for our presentation

then he makes an inadvertant attack on our work

by asking everyone in the class what they understood from the presentation..... ffs of course they couldn't answer you, people don't listen to the presentations and no one read up on the material..... because each piece is 30 pages of rubbish

so we probably failed our presentation, and our tutor is a massive tool! :)
