Laycock and Hunt to replace Hille and Henneman if they do not perform.

some questions to ponder....

where is the heckin'g bear in that lineup?

why is hille being such a frigging pansy this year?

why is henneman even allowed to park his car at windy hill for training?

when is courtney johns going to solve the problems in the middle east, and then kick 48.3 in a qtr against brisbane?

At half time, it looked like henneman was handling neitz. But with the amount of ball their mid feild were getting, you could just sense they were about to explode and they did. Really, it's games like these that make you wonder why Sheedy has 'project' players like Davies and ****ing Hunt still on the list.

I thought Henno did a good job overall. Neitz is a very good player and our midfield was useless in terms of putting pressure on their midfield. He wasn't great or anything, but i was happy enough with his performance, and with Fletch back i think he'll be alright on the 2nd or 3rd best tall forward.

if neitz kicked straight you wouldnt say henneman was doing a decent job. He finished with 4.5 or something like that.

Most of the times that neitz got the ball was off of leads where no fullback would have stopped him. Henno contested with him pretty well though except for one time late in the game where he was too focused on where neitz was rather than going for the mark himself.

I guess the key word here is ideal.

Cupido won't be in the best side for a while, I think.

I'd have Stanton and Peverill ahead of Dyson and Winderlich.

Hille needs to go back to the VFL to regain confidence and form.

Richards ahead of Henneman.

My honest opinion is Solomon and MJ are defenders, not mid-fielders. They are grunt and fury, not line breaking pinpoint passers. Given our defence is ranked about 11th in the league, I would be getting them both back there in a hurry. Wellman is sadly declining faster than Ronnie Regan and must be considered in his last season. Bolton is workmanlike in Defence and as good as Scotty was last year, we need him in our attacking half kciking 2-3 goals a game. Fletcher is having an average year but we must persist - he is a genuine champ. Might have to think about where Sammy Hunt is in regards to being groomed for FB.

Back Half

McVeigh Fletcher M Johnson
Solomon Bolton Welsh

Midfeild issues are being overstated. We have ample quality midfielders - I just dont think Sheedy uses them well. Players like JJ dont need to be rotated in and out of the action. His best 3 years were 2000, 01,02 when he had to carry the load for 4 qtrs. Leave him in there to do what he does best. There shouldnt be a game where he doesnt get 25 posessions.

My starting centre square quartet is

Allan, JJ, Hird and either McPhee or Peverill. Pev only if he is tagging otherwise the athletic and string McPhee could be an ideal player to break through the congestion. Hird of course jsut because he is so brilliant in the centre and JJ as he is the best hard midfielder we possess.

Rama on one wing, Murphy on the other.

Haynes, Alvey, Rioli, Dyson, Stanton, Winderlich should all be given a run

Forward 50

Lucas has to play forward. Lovett Murray should be persisted with. He has to learn the game but clearly has the talent.

Cupido's absence is hurting us. He will probably play no serious part in this years proceedings.

I would like to see Ted Richards given more of a run as a foil to LLoydy.

HF Haynes. Lucas, Richards
FF L-Murray Llloyd Rioli

Rucks Allan has been recruit of the year just about. Hille needs to get nasty and learn to use his bulk more effectively. Has a long way to go after a good year last year - drop him and give Laycock a run.

I would like to see Richards and Bullen really tested out for the rest of the season or else get rid of them.

More from Bradley and Laycock
'
Hunt to be groomed.

Winderlich, Stanton, Dyson to be given every oppportunity

Watson/Reynolds - season has been too interupted for either to have any impact.

Question Marks on Darren Walsh - what has he been doing

FB: Welsh Fletcher Mark Johnson
CHB: MacPhee Wellman Dean Solomon
C: Murphy Hird Adam Rama
CHF: Benny Haynes Lucas Rioli (The Pigman)
FF: Lovett - Murray Lloyd Damien Cupidoll!
Followers: Allan Peverill Jason Johnson
INT: Laycock, Misiti, Stanton, Mark Bolton.

EMERGENCY: Hille, Alvey, McVeigh, Richards.
Stiff to miss: Dyson, Bullen, Bradley (not ready), Watson, Mercuri and Hunt.

Pretty strong team. Bolton and Wellman can swap, and if NLm struggling, put King Solomon up forward and both Bolts and Sean not a wellman down back.

It is a very solid and exciting team, with many avenues to goal.

Misiti is very close to being dropped, and Mark Mercuri, when over his injury could be a chance if he pulls out his finger.

Due to injuries I'd probably play this team for the game against North:

FB: Welsh Fletcher Mark Johnson
CHB: MacPhee Bolton Dean Solomon
C: Murphy Hird Adam Rama
CHF: Benny Haynes Lucas Mark McVeigh
FF: Lovett - Murray Lloyd Richards
Followers: Allan Peverill Jason Johnson
INT: Hille , Misiti, Stanton, Alvey

EMERGENCY: Bullen, Dyson, Walsh, Hunt.

Out: Bradley, Bullen.
In: Richards, Fletcher.

Misiti gets a few matches due to his experience, however, his increased incidence of gutlessness is of some concern.

JJ is rotated because he's not superman its ****en hard playing 4 qtrs in the middle espically when you're tough, do you want him to burn out by finals time. Sure he did it in 2000 but players aren't machines he's rotated to keep him fresh it would be suicidial playing him there all the time.

Rioli would be wasted in forward pocket espically if his fitness is up.

Fair go on walsh was sick rember.

Watson don't write off yet say his injury is only 2 weeks he plays four of five staright games in the vfl the theres still a couple of rounds left to break into senior side, could be a could bench player later on.
