So this is my little rant.

Listening to the run home, Ox is great, I don't think he's the best presenter/host in the world but he brings a good mix of humour and knowledge to most things. Kind of like your mate that is great to hang out with even though he talks a bit or rubbish. Even Robbo comes across ok when he and the ox are together, it's not meant to be in depth analysis it is just good background noise.

Marko though, as great as he is with chasing birdie his knowledge of anything outside AFL is just terrible. My man DJ Brox is in the studio talking all things Victory and football and Marko doesn't even know what the basic rules of the game are, annoys the p*ss out of me. Have some respect for the people you are talking too and at least have some knowledge of the sport they play, it's not that hard.

Yes, I've heard JP Howcroft on the ABC many times.

It's a bit like all the 'spokespeople' for the betting companies, if you flick stations a lot like I do in the car you hear them one after another on all the different stations all with their same little spiels.

what was marko failing to understand? offside rule? broxiniho shouldve gone studs up on him

im not a fan of watson, but understand he's prob the highest paid at sen, and they arent gonna boot him. i find he makes statements though sounding insiteful, can be applied to anyone. for example, about a ruckman who doesnt get many HOs, but he influences every play.

you can say that about EVERYONE (sub HOs for possessions)

Ox and Marko = Dumb and Dumber. Its unbelievable how bad they are. Then they get in Slobbo and it goes to another level of putrid. I can't believe it's taken me so long to find 3AW. Are you listening SEN??? There's a reason you're bottom of the ratings, your presenters are terrible.

I am no fan of Allen, but you have to be fair and respect the fact that The Run Home has often had the best ratings on the station. As a 24-hour sports talkback station, they are never going to dominate the ratings.

The thing that bugs me too is they use his not very insightful comments in the little promo things, as if he is saying something profound. Lately they have been playing the one where he says we have to understand James Hird is a real person, with kids etc. We all know that, doesn't mean we can't have a poor opinion of him though because of what he's done professionally.

Yes and Sydney's market is just so loyal.
If Sydney had the years The dees have had they'd have that old bloke behind the goals as their only supporter .

Heard that......you have to wonder about the education system when they don't even have the nous or common sense to work out what sounds right and what doesn't......and then, being involved on a radio station, how much attention they pay to things going on around them on a daily basis and take it in.

Obviously reading the script for the news beforehand and checking if it is right doesn't apply anymore...

3AW sports today is a polished program and professional. light years in experience ahead of sen. opinions are well thought of and presented, whereas on sen its more off the cuff and easily swayed depending on the wind, caller etc

assuming most people arent listening during the day as they are at work, everyone tunes into TRH. it's a light hearted, matey type show that's there for some fun and sports discussion. it does what it does. i think as a whole, it's liked.
