RMan the popst about Huddos comments about Doran are a couple of pages back in this thread and from early in June.
Even if you were not at SEN when I was there our paths might have crossed .
I havent been posting lately as only responding to others and am now hoping like others that worked there that with the AFL about to cash the joint up I can get back there in some role and be part of it again.

How do the radio rights work currently? and whats the deal for the new tights? How will it work with 3AW, 3LO and MMM and possible SEN

From what I understand 3AW, MMM and 774 will get the first choice game each Saturday and Sunday. How that is arrived at is to be determined by negotiations between themselves. Its certainly not in their best interests to all be covering the same game so I'm sure they'll be sensible about it.

SEN will cover any game that is not covered by the above three stations. So they will get their fair share of interstate games during the season. The Sunday interstate 1.00pm games come to mind immediately.

If there are no games clashing then all stations may cover that game.

The beauty of it all for SEN is that with the AFL coming on board they won't be asked to put their hands in their own pocket to pay for the rights. The downside is that they will lose some independance however the AFL will still only be a minority shareholder along with Southern Cross so hopefully this doesn't occur.

You would hope that SEN could keep the A League soccer during summer for example and maintain a broad interest in all sports and not just AFL.

Who's the idiot who just made the claim that Essendon has 21 injuries currently in total? Complete BS. Geez there are plenty of journos out there trying to very best to make Essendon look as good as possible.

Probably Mark Robinson from Herald sun- he is rubbish. Thinks he knows everything but just sounds like a drugged out loser off the street. More like one of the idiots Sam runs in to in street talk than a media professional.

Herald sun hack journo (and Essendon fan) Mark 'Robbo' Robinson. Dished out a lot of Essendon propaganda masquerading as news articles in recent times.

Robbo's not usually too bad but even I raised my eyebrows at that when I heard it.

Robbo was in fine form tonight.

Had to laugh at his response to the idea that Essendon is getting an easy ride from the media this year, "ahhh, maybe...umm, possibly....ohh, probably..."

And backed it up with, "We should do an entire program one night on Essendon."

Did anyone hear Mark Doran today telling us all that The Scud Mark the poo " Is not a nice person and not well liked ".
What does that have to do with his tennis after he wins a tournament and you pay out on him being not liked and not a very nice person .

Maxy you need to take note of Anthony Hudsons comments from first week of June when you had left the building.
" To have to work with Mark Doran is a test of any workplace harmony and morale "

The Scud not a very nice person or well liked . now thats the pot calling the kettle black !

I've got some mail from a very reliable source that says SEN will not be calling the AFL next year.

If that so then they should stick with the VFL on the Saturdays, where SEN does a mighty good job in covering the VFL
