There's a bloke called Craig Hutchinson who I'm sure wouldn't mind a gig at SEN.

How come AW aren't allowing Hutchy to work at another station at the moment ?
Not sure where he was headed,but AW blocked it.They boned him.

Middle of the AFL season - most radio stations would have already had their sports line ups pretty settled by then you'd imagine.

To be honest, I didn't mind Hutchy when he was reporting from the US for SEN. Maybe he'd be okay away from purely AFL.

But what about the way this has been handled,
Beva deserved better Beva was one of the original SEN presenters and even if they thought that it was time to finish him up to have no mention of it, to have Finey just pretend that nothing has happened.
The listeners and beva are treated like fools by doing it this way.
When 3AW got rid of Hutchy at least they had Healy announce it and they even took calls , but with SEN its like beva is dog Sh*t as soon as they decide he is a goner.
This is an area where SEN is still way behind 3AW and Triple m when it comes to being professional .

On a side not, we are in the nervous 90's of this thread, Page 96 to be exact, almost at the century mark. Good effort by all

Your wrong as Finey has mentioned a few times Bevas not been well saying that

Beva has been away with a sore back ....from the dirty great big knife that was stuck into it a few days ago

Beva has a sore back from playing cricket, that weird bowling action that he has does not help the back

Sad to say Beva is gone.
Just heard on SEN 1116 talking about the St Kilda, Western Bulldoags game and then Dermie joking about SEN presenters and St Kilda supports, with Billy Brownless at the end chipping in with smart arse comment of "one less" with Huddo saying "Billly"


Also hint given eariler in the show talking about Laidley comment on the cirus of the media and Huddo saying the circus of the radio at times.

beva's still got front row on the sen website homepage. if he's gone then their webmaster deserves the bullet.
billy's a w***er if he said that on the broadcast. he can't talk for too long without including some sort of smut into the conversation. he's turning into the r rated version of doug hawkins.

The sacking of Bruce Eva is a disgrace.

Eva was one of SEN's most versatile broadcasters. He has an excellent knowledge of all sports - not just AFL. And he was a good footy commentator as well ... really enjoyed his contribution as part of the Early Sunday Afternoon team.

People looking for clues? Eva being 'sick' is one I guess, but did you notice that last night's show was called Finey and Friends? Usually when Mark Fine replaces Eva it's called Finey After Dark.

But don't worry about the clues - it is yet another chapter in woeful history of SEN Management.

To be honest, I thought Mark Doran was close to getting the chop, as he too had been 'sick' a fair bit in the past month. But I guess the reason for that was due to his ill father. How long he still is at SEN is anyone's guess.

I haven't even heard anyone confirm yet that he's left other than some small points made above.

And why do people assume that he was fired? Why couldn't he have left cause he didn't like working evenings? And what about the possibility he is staying at the station but not hosting the evening show. He did used to produce KB's show, so he's not just an on-air person.
