(Kicking up)

Ph. Matera - Cummings - Merenda
Embley - Jakovich - Chambers
Kerr - Taylor - Pe. Matera
Collica - Gaspar - Wooden
Wirrpunda - McIntosh - Carroll

Gardiner - Cousins - Jones

Int: Braun, Williams, Glass, and one of the youngsters, maybe Hunter.

Emer: Cox, Chambers, Haynes, Kemp.

Given that the season's diagnosis is terminal, there's no point rushing a re-injury case like Kemp back in when a few WAFL games would do him the world of good.

As long as ol' Figjam stays injured we may just have a hope. And wouldn't it be appropriate for the club to bust it's losing streak at Mick's expense?

Ph. Matera - Cummings - P Matera

* depending upon good attitude shown in WAFL match

From this weeks team i would replace Merenda and Cox with McIntosh and Glass.

Chambers and Humm should be given another week, but knowing KJ he will dump them. Thats pretty much it, I suspect wilson will only get a run now if Cummings gets injured again.

Hmm its a while away and my team is providing that Kemp Glass and Milli will all be ready to come back in.

Wirrpunda McIntosh Collica
Pe Matera Gaspar Glass
Kerr Kemp Morrison
Williams Jakovich Embly
Ph Matera Cummings Fletcher

Gardiner Cousins Jones

Int Braun Carroll Wooden Merenda

Morrison will bounce back after the shock and disappointment of being dropped. If this side takes the field, or something like this side i think we are a real chance.

Long way away though, stupid weeks break. It does benefit our team right now but its annoying to have a weekend of footy without the Eagles playing.

Right, my 2 bobs worth.
Glass should be available, but I think he will only be picked if he has a better performance in the WAFL next weekend, as this weekend he didn't go so well. Also, Morrison didn't play this last weekend as his team had a bye.
Question: Will much of the Eagles squad play WAFL this weekend.

And everyone should go down and support EAST PERTH this coming weekend.

Go see the future of your team. Yes, it does have one :D

(actually you may be watching an entirely Eagles team in blue and black, you never know...)

Collingwood were sensational against the Demons today. I cannot see us winning. They are playing with passion and discipline. Mick Malthouse traits which went missing in his later years at the Eagles. I thought Clement and Holland were brilliant. certainly the Dockers were Dorks letting those two go. I just hope that at the end of this year the Eagles dont throw the baby out with the bathwater like the Dorks regularly do. That is delist or trade good young kids for hacks.

For the game against the Pies I see the following changes:

IN - Glass, Kemp and McIntosh
OUT - Well I dont know. You cant stuff around with the confidence of the kids. You could see either Munro, Chambers or Wooden going out. Munro only got a game cos it was wet. He still needs to bulk up in order to have an impact. Carroll still makes heaps of mistakes but is getting better.

I really like Jako at CHF. Not many CHF kick heaps of goals. So that doesnt matter. He makes a contest and plays with passion.

GO EAGELS

What you have to remember with players like Humm, Cox, Haynes, Munro, Cox is that they are only getting around 25 minutes playing time in an Eagles game. That means that every couple of weeks they need to go back to the WAFL and play a full game out to keep match fit.

Hey One eye, I just can't see Wooden being dropped. I thought he was sensational.

I actually believe Collingwood winning so easily is a benefit to the eagles. Teams that have an easy win usually lose the following week because they go into the match thinking they are all that. Happened to us twice last year, happened to Carlton after they beat us, and will probably happen to collingwood.

It amazes me that so many teams are hitting top form the match before playing the Eagles then drop off afterwards. Look at tigers, Brisbane thrashing Dons and now Pies hammering Dees.
The only sides not in top form we have played are Freo and Saints (although I doubt if Freo can get any better)

Yep...you always say that and hope it happens, but as with the case of essendon, i dont see it happening to collingwood..and bucks will be back for SURE.

This is taking into consideration that we have a full squad to pick from bar Read, Sierra, Prior and Banners:

FB: Collica McIntosh Carroll
HB: Gaspar Pe Matera Hunter
C: Braun Wirrpunda Chambers/Jones
HF: Kerr Jakovich Embley
FF: Ph Matera Cummings Williams
R: Gardiner Cousins Kemp
Int: Glass Wooden Morrison Cox
Em: Haynes, Munro

That side overall I think can win on the day. A good mix of young and old. We will have to play man on man football however if we are to stop the maggies midfielders.

East Perth have a bye?

Normally what the Eagles do is throw the players that need a game in another clubs reserve team - they can't put them in a league team for various reasons. . . so It looks like one WAFL club's reserve side will have a good percentage win this weekend :D
