Did you remove the thing about ECU because you realised you studied economics at ECU? :$

Economics doesn't impress me either so I guess we're square (except for the fact that one of us studies the real physical world with tangible science whilst the other studied bullshit systems that humans created so they could control most of the population)
Economics. What a lark.

I tutored a couple of guys who were struggling with economics at high school without ever studying it and got them through their exams. It's so basic.

Haha you have to admit that looking down that street is lovely with King George Sound in the background.

I didn't study economics.

The usual combo in the finance sector is Engineering/Commerce, Law/Commerce or Maths/Physics. Economics students usually have to do honours or masters to get into the financial side of things, without HD marks.

Finance is one of the greatest things to happen to this earth, without it the economic growth experienced would never have occurred. Of course there is flaws and its something we're still working on.

Kalbarri is very awesome. It has that slightly depressing transient feel though. Like one man could demolish the entire place in a weekend. I think visiting is nice but I wouldn't live there.
I'd live there for the fishing.

The trip out to open sea is a doozy. Fighting swell and dodging cray pots.

If ya going to give a Wolf Creek analogy, at least get your Kimberley towns right.

I get how wide open spaces can frighten people.
I was talking about the scene where the kids car breaks down and Mick comes along and tows them. Same happened to us. Except for the murder part.

Dunno what you mean about wide open spaces. When I say we lived near Fitzroy Crossing, it was a survey camp. Nothing but infinite space there.

Infinite growth in a world of finite boundaries ....you crazy fools you're going to kill us all.

Let's just get back on the gold standard and start to fix things !

If we were on the gold standard, we would never have achieved our supposed 'high standard of living'. I do believe the system at current is fundamentally flawed, the problem is that it's far too complex now to go onto a new system.

Its a controversial topic, I didn't really want to enter into it.

Yes who is second to Curtin is always controversial.

I used to love going down to Albany.

Been near on 20 years since I went there last though. Doubt I'd recognise the place now

This persona is actually starting to return dividends with a few laughs.

It is a persona you're turning on, isn't it? Surely nobody could be that far up themselves.

Cows are currency in parts of Africa - now that's a system!

In Australia not many firms acknowledge 'prestige' or the differences between difficulties. Though from factual point of view the very top tier firms have a greater number of UWA graduates. Though if you're top of the cream and ace Curtin it won't limit your chances, just that if you're average you have no chance.

Anyways I find there is no real correlation between Uni marks and how much you progress in your career.

U mad that UWA is my alma mater?

Curtin is the only good uni in WA to study Geology at anyway (UWA only offers Earth Science :drunk:)

BTW I agree that money (people work for it to live, gives the population a purpose and gives society a structure) is a good and necessary thing, however the systems that humanity has created are so unnecessarily complex, with so many loopholes that it's become broken (see GFC, 2008).

Unfortunately the money system is corrupt, and is suited to keeping that elite group on top of everyone else

I'm average but thanks to the mining boom, Royalties for Regions and the dark embrace of fiat currency....I make well over 7000 chickens a month.

So are all of you incredibly rich, educated with probably massive genitals? I thought we were a working class team .

Do you want a chicken?
