Feel free to correct me.
I already did. It's in the information you posted a link to. Boat limits can apply to general categories of fish and not just specific species.
For example, if three RFBL holders are fishing from a boat for demersal finfish in the West Coast Bioregion, they could have a maximum of two dhufish on board only, plus four other demersal species.
You even queried your own response about whether you had licences, which doesn't sound like an expert opinion to me.

Now we really have jumped the shark. I'm bored of smacking self-confessed experts about with wet fish.

Any other conceited twats out there who could muscle up a bit of fire power?

But it's only four days till November...surely you'll be recharged by then?:drunk:
I can never understand those plans. After I got lucky was I supposed to roll over?

Too many question marks. You're over the limit and need to send some back

What the hell is a West Coaster doing in this thread FFS

...and what the hell am I doing liking his posts?

This is why we shouldn't allow an off season. It just ruins everything.

Keyser Soze is one of the few Eagles supporters I don't hate.

It's more of a mild dislike.

There was a heap of them here yesterday in the Waldorf and Statler Balcony.

5 Million rec fisherman in Aust pulling up 23,000 tonnes of fish.Without substantial low bag limits forget about fishing for pleasure.Herring and Taylor are the perfect example with people taking more than they could ever eat and stocks now at all time lows. Rec fisherman have caused the Herring and Taylor problem. I was an offender catching amounts that I could never use. Have learnt the error of my ways taking just enough to feed me and the family and throwing the undersize back.

The term recreational fisherman also includes charter boats full of fishing club troopers with all the cutting edges fish finding and fish killing gear;so the term can be deceptive if people think it represents the lone character with the handkerchief hat,a single rod and a bucket.

Is it really 5 million...? Sheesh...there's only 23 million in the country....

That's a fair proportion of the population walking about with their rod in their hand!!

Nah...bet your one of the prawn sandwich mob....
Is that actually a thing?

Never heard of a prawn sandwich or is that some sort of blue waffle trick

Official figure according to the Aust Govt census page. The 23'000 tonnes yearly doesn't incl shellfish ,prawns and crays.

Did you read the post you just quoted?

The boat limit applies only to the Dhufish (2 per boat). A person is allowed 1 Dhufish per day, but 3 people can only take a maximum of 2.

The bag limit per person is 2 fish. So 3 people can have a total of 6 fish. But only 2 of them can be Jewies. There is no separate boat limit on the total number of fish, only Dhufish.

Sorry this is difficult for you to understand.

It is actually a thing...

Prawn sandwiches are popular in the UK and a bit "la de dah" posh.

Roy Keane of Manchester United made the comment that the atmosphere was so bad at one game he thought all the fans must have been getting into the prawn sandwiches and drinks and not caring about the football...

4) THE ONE WITH THE PRAWN SANDWICH:

No4 on the list of Roy Keanes rants.

Just strikes a chord with me and those yellow and blue seagulls from up the road...

I have never worn a hanky hat nor have I ever seen anybody else fishing wearing one.

Are you claiming to be an expert on hanky hats? Are you calling me a liar? Would you like me to smash you in the face with a frozen block of mulies?

Listen mate.

There is only ever 20 boats at Bremer Bay EVER.

PERIOD

END OF STORY!!

FFS.

AND WE'LL FARKEN WELL FISH WHERE WE WANT, WHEN WE WANT, AND HOW MUCH WE WANT!

Gonna laugh my arse off when it is declared as a marine park.

ydraw 's old man will be rather ropable, one would imagine.

THEY ARE OUR FISH goddamit!!

When will you peasants learn this?

I gave you 2 opportunities to get out with your dignity intact, yet here you are demonstrating what an idiot you are. Have you exceeded your bag limit of stupid pills?

Which, of course, is the reason why the West Coast has such stringent bag limits now...because tossers couldn't fish in a sustainable manner in the past.

The South Coast will follow suit, because cockies/and related morons who just can't help themselves but rape and pillage the ocean will decrease fish stocks to the point where it is unsustainable.

Well done on the great catch by the way.

Such a pity that you couldn't look a bit further into the future.

I agree with this. I haven't been to Bremer Bay for years, but I've been to Israelite Bay. It's pretty much only recreational fisherman who go there, through a big National Park.
The damage these people have done is horrific. There are acres of land near the beach which are just sand tracks, caused by people just pushing a new track whenever they want. The old Telegraph station has been damaged and burnt. Maybe it's because there are no (or few) enforced regulations that far east of Esperance, but rubbish and fish remains were dumped all over the place. I was appalled by how degraded the whole place was.

I reckon there is a sizeable proportion of the south coast population who a) don't give a shit about what they are doing or b) can't see beyond their nose to consider the consequence of their actions. This includes unsustainable fish practices and degrading land use.

ydraw. Yep Bremer Canyon is an amazing and near unique part of the world. But it may not last.
