I would only consider it as a last resort because, at the moment, prison is considered a sentence of last resort when no other option fits the crime. For example, murder or crimes related to children or sexual I would have it available. Some people don’t deserve to live.

Are you really saying an adult life is worth less than a child’s? Once you go down that road, who decides whose life has more value? That’s exactly the slippery slope that makes the death penalty so dangerous.
